I just installed an aftermarket sibgle din stereo using the same dash kit that you did. I guess the gap between the bottom of the pocket and the top of the cup holder cover is supposed to be there???

Great video, I bought an MR2 a couple of months ago and your videos have been instrumental in DIYing my car as well! I wanted to ask you regarding the stereo you got, do all cables come with the installation kit or the radio, or do I have to get the wiring separately? Keep up with these great videos, they are helping more people than you may think :)

Hi there No wiring came in that time particularly mounting kit. The Philips : ISO came with the Philips. Thankfully my old JVC came with the ISO: Toyota wiring converter so reused that. They are easy enough to buy though, check out something like this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251334379323

So did you cut off the pins from the heater module Andrew? I feel like I will need to as I will be using an inline amplifier. Do you have an amp?

I did chop the pin off. Was not happy to do it but saw no other way - would buy a shallower stereo if i did it again

I'm trying to fit a full size single din with an inline amp as well as wiring for a traditional amp. I'm going to try and find the same dash adaptor as yours as the one I've received today is useless.

Can I ask where and what the lead plugged into the 12v socket is for?
