I just wanted to say thanks. I used your video as a guide and installed a new Sony entertainment player in my MR2.

You are welcome. I have used a lot of videos myself and wanted to give back the same way.

I put the T1819 from the scion and love it. It's a nice oem look
@StarkReality7 жыл бұрын
Bradley Pineda I considered using that one since it is a direct replacement but wanted some newer features. That scion radio is a great option.

Great video, very helpful on how to take to stereo out. Just to make sure what are the dimensions I need for the new stereo?
@StarkReality6 жыл бұрын
The space is an odd size in the car. A single din or double din will work but you will need a surround piece for either.
@samuelschultz31066 жыл бұрын
StarkReality but does the stereo need to have certain length and width?
@StarkReality6 жыл бұрын
There are only a couple of sizes of radio head end units. Single Din and Double Din. Either will fit. You will need a surround for either to fill in the left over gaps.

How would you know what ao solder together on the Toyota adaptor? This is the one part I can't understand to save my life

Awesome video, very thorough. My spyder still has the stock stereo and I heared rattling noise coming off from the back. I was hoping that changing the stereo unit will fix the noise. Please let us know if there s rattling noise with the new setup. Thx🤓

No noises yet. It sounds much better than the original even without changing the speakers. Thanks for watching.

I have a question, what’s the name of the radio and where did you get it
@roosscosavage2 жыл бұрын
Was wondering if anyone could help, recently got my dads MR2 roadster, battery issues so he said he disconnected the radio from the battery, however the 15a fuse keeps blowing . Any idea on what could be causing it and how to fix it ? Thanks in advance Ross

Great video, I have a question for you, How do you remove the vent above the climate controls? I need to take my sons out to repaint. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the speaker swap.
@StarkReality4 жыл бұрын
I have not had to remove those vents. I honestly don't know how.

how do you secure the factory trim after the install? mine is loose and you can pull it out about 0.5mm.
@StarkReality6 жыл бұрын
The trim is not tight on mine. I placed a small wedge in the gap to tighten it up which has worked but is not perfect.

Steve Loeschke - Some things are super easy on this car, like the dash and some are a bit more involved than they seem like they should be.

This was painful to watch, although helpful. But who uses a drill for what a self ratching screwdriver would work much better. He also has the dash tool but doesn't use it, or uses it wrong. However, I got what I needed. So there's that.
