Attention to detail, no need to apologize. I watched my Dad when I was young preparing various vehicles to paint and always thought it was overkill. Now that I'm way older I understand the words attention to detail. I truly appreciate your efforts that you are going through even though it's not my truck. I'm enjoying and learning through your videos and quite honestly I'll be excited and proud of you and your accomplishments when you roll your truck out of the garage for the first showing. I wish I could see it in person it's going to be awesome. Thank you for taking the time to share your project with us. 👍🏻👍🏻

You are doing an amazing job, not going to lie watched you start prepping for paint and I was thinking here we go another garage paint job. But you have all the right supplies and you are taking the time to get every thing done super complete. Plus the amount of time you are spending cleaning everything including the shop before paint is perfect. good job man keep up the good work.

Being unfamiliar to the paint/prep game, any chance you could do a 5-10min blurb on the 1-2-3s of your process? I’ve been following along with most of your vids and have heard you mention prime, paint, high-build, base, clear, etc. I’m vaguely familiar with the language out of your context but a quick “how to” on: step 1- fill, step 2- sand, step 3- wet sand, etc… . Awesome truck and admire your knowledge and dedication. Enjoy this rig!

Looks like it will look good, but I usually I like to put the chip guard on top of the paint (after you paint) that way if it does chip off from road gravel you still have the color under the chip guard, two words "tack cloth"...

Hi from Australia there is a product called DART (door Aperture refinishing tape) by 3M it really good to achieve soft edges to mask off inside door jambs and around the bonnet opening, obviously your ute is going to be to smick for bush bashing but is pretty bang on, a Toyota diesel motor would have been better option, not cheapest but better!!

If the clock on the wall is right, you spent about 15 hours on that truck in one day. By the time you get it where you wanted, you'll have a $5k paint job and I'm sure it will be worth every minute you spent on it. Can't wait to see it done. I'm stoked too and it ain't even my truck.
