That’s a wicked truck. I used to have an 88 forerunner. Loved it. I love that he put it all together from a bunch of different vehicles. Should name it Frankenstein 🤙

Rig looks pretty cool. Sounds like a laundry list of parts like my truck. So I originally started with a 84' single cab pickup 4x4 5speed with a 2.4l. Now I drive a 84-2004 Toyota SR5 TRD extended cab pickup 4X4 5speed V6 (3.4l). Everything is Toyota except the rear leaf spring and the rims. Love these little trucks. Would like to see a little more of a video on the truck it's self, always interested peoples builds. I had spent a good amount of time living out of the back of my rig, but when this lifestyle became the now I really didn't want it. From 2014 to 2022 I did this full time 12 months 365 days. And the thing I can say if your going to build something to do this full time I'd say the size of your build you can handle being in, and not necessary what you'd like, because your going to need to compromise for the middle ground between doable and overkill. Insulation is going to be a must, and not just from the cold. A person will need to think about moisture and how to get rid of it and prevent it from building up, specially for the full timers. Ways of staying cool on hot days particularly on down time. How are you going to keep and prepare food is a good one as well. Plenty of storage for potable water, fuel, fluids for vehicle maintenance, tools for any and all kinds of repairs, any and all the recovery gear you can think of. A form of protection, and I'm not talking about a cellphone or a baseball bat. Get a firearm/s and learn how to use it. I've been approached by sketchy people and large wildlife, better to have it and not need it.

Thanks for this video. Rebecca Spit is such a great location for recording these types of tours, and the ocean-noise is simply nice "white noise." I appreciate your excellence.

I like it. I'm currently in a 2000 kia Sportage but I have been thinking about getting a Toyota pickup instead. I like the simplicity. I would be worried about cold weather tho in that type of vehicle.

The lifestyle that you live is the best. Like you said you have freedom to move wherever it is you want to move and when you live that lifestyle you have less bills therefore you have more money sometimes depending on what you do for a living well on the road to do what it is you want to do. I always say life is what you make it but that lifestyle is so much better than being in a house because a house often makes you lazy and not want to do much of anything whereas when you're living in a Truck Van Etc you're kind of forced to want to go out and do things and try things to pass the time of the day by which is the line better for your mental health and sitting in a house

What's the gear ratio on the differentials and tire sizes?
@SlowRoamers
@SlowRoamers 2 жыл бұрын
Tire size is 285/75/16 and gear ratio is 4.10 I did this for better cruising speed, since I have the power to turn the tires, I wanted a lower RPM for better fuel mileage. Check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpnReGanmMhjjtU for all the details on the truck.

Is this 4x4 and would you say 4x4is needed ?
@SlowRoamers
@SlowRoamers 2 жыл бұрын
It is 4x4. I tell people that 4x4 isn't necessary for about 99% of the time, however, when you need 4x4 in that 1%, you REALLY need it.

How much did you lift it?
@SlowRoamers
@SlowRoamers 2 жыл бұрын
It's about a 4" lift on the truck, although it's tough to know because when I did the SAS I tried to keep the truck as low as I could and never made a comparison measurement.
