Toyota prius (ABS) Problems

Having issues with my 2005 Toyota prius.

FYI..... I do not know if this observation helps you out....The ABS pump (if starting to fail) you can hear(sound) of the chattering/ clinking . That is a sign that the ABS pump DC electric motor is done and about to fail. The ABS pump is one of the more expensive/costly parts for replacement. I think there is on seller on Ebay that actually sells remanufactured

Am having c1313 and c1377 codes on my gen prius...there abs pump is not running when i open the door..but when tge car is on tge abs pump run and pressurize the system as it should though much brake force is coming from rearwheels. Also qm experience high pitched noise (warning noise due to fault abs system). Should i change the brake capacitor and problem can go away?

I hve a 2nd gen prius once chek light of abs was on i took it to the mechanic he replaced tge brack pad as the brake pad were tornout of rht front wheel tge car was scan and tge code was showing c1342 .the only problm was front wheel of my car is jamed and i dnt knw why is that not fixing even the mechanic replaced tge master cylinder the caliper and now he is telling that i should replaced thr abs plz help

What is the purpose of the brake power control I search it up but there is no actual explanation about it can you tell me more?

@97edgars, Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! I still haven't had any luck on this problem. The light comes on and off, sometimes it just stays on, i tried different things to fix this problem but no luck. The only thing that i can think of is that i no longer have (ABS) which i can deal with it. If i do get the opportunity to fix this problem my self this is something I will definitely be sharing with you guys. Thanks for watching! 👍

@@my2daylife932 i am getting the same issue.. Abs sensor turned on.. i went to a mechanic few times.. they asked me to replace the actuator which is really costly. They cleared the sensors many times and it keeps coming back. Now the check engine is on and my brake is really hard.

Still no solution to c1377 ? But it drives fine 8 months later with light still on?

@Ad Venture Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! C1377 Has been a pain my rear. I have replaced my capacitor, also a couple fueses and still no luck. This light comes on and off, its really weird but the car drives fine. Thanks for watching! 👍

I'm having the same exact issue I bout a donor capacitor and still have the 1377 code have you figured it out yet

brakes feel fine? is the abs pump running and stopping after it builds pressure? or does it keep running?

@Alvin Roque-Otento, No issues with the brakes. They have been working fine Its just that (!) Light on my dashboard. Thanks for watching 👍
