Toyota Proace Verso Review: When is a van not a van?

Seems like a highly capable vehicle for going on biking trips. I would get this for functionality, not looks. As long as it has cruise control, decent handling for its size, and comfortable seats, I honestly couldn't care less about most other amenities.

Practicality is king because, at the end of the day, it's a van and until somebody learns to bend space and time to their will, vans are the only real competition in this area and vans are not sexy. Thanks for the informative video.

​@@styzoom used it on the trip with kids I love this van we had a 9h+. Trip it's comfortable tables and holders really good. The car still looks new just the carpet is hard to vacuum but still looks really good !

At £50k plus you really do need a lot more 'show' to go along with the ,..er.... 'go'. It just looks too bland for the price tag. I don't think that high spec version will sell well, at all.

Don't know about the high spec version in particular, but proace verso in general is so much in demand in UK that there is a waiting list to order a new one.

What a poser. Digital cockpits are for nerds who have to much time on there hands to criticize other peoples practical handiwork. I have the Peugeot version and its easy to operate for the 95% of people who are not nerds

Check engine one at 9000 km...water in DPF filter....check engine two at 14000 fuel pump issue..recall from 2023 January,but mine is one year older...any comments joker?

Can we all have a moment of silence for the lower backs of the crew that had to remove & then reinstall the seats in this vehicle. Speaking of which, if you need a big Toyota MPV I'd suggest looking at the Alphard or Estima. Japanese imports but so many are over on our shores it's easy to get parts for.

I wouldnt say the infotainment is bad. It better than current one. You need a phd to navigate modern infotainment systems. When navigating tje lost radiosignal message constantly pops up and you dont see where to turn next.

Very true. I have the Peugeot version and its easy to use. A BIG DEAL because it means your less likely to crash taking your eyes off the road to operate a stupid touch screen bullshit like our other car.

I wouldn’t want a massive screen with the glare annoying me when I drive on a dark road at night…I often cover the screens with something That gear selector seems m weird to me though

If you mean the infotainment screen, you can shut it off. If you do so it's completely dark. Very nice feature for long night drives!

I own a Pro Ace Verso. It's Garbage. After 3 years i always get startting issues and problems. Several parts that usualy won't break before 5years are already broken. You'll save 20k approc compared to a proper german brand but i can promise you will spend at least 10k for repairs and such before the car is 5years old.

What about the guarantee, afaik it is up to 15 years, if the service is done by Toyota.

I wonder if someone does a campervan conversion on this, but keep it looking like a blacked out LWB MPV. The sticky out roof rail bit for the side awning woukd be a give away, so I would forego that, but I would like something really great inside. I have zero moolah to buy such a thing, of course! 🙃 There are one or two good channels specifically for those. Car Guru's knocks them out best for cars. Covers everyhing in style, but keeps it short enough. Anything longer than 10 minutes has me thinking twice about clicking nowadays. (Old age!)

The problem is most people go for Toyota because of engine and parts performance and reliability but in this case Proace have a engine of Peugeot which I will never buy it. Why Toyota has not build their own engine instead used that low class engine?

Stop complaining about multi media screen ,because this old fashion one with actual buttons is more useful than just stupid touch screen...In the end you just need GPS and Bluetooth function for connecting your phone and nothing else,because that's well known that all those apps are just nonsense plus that slowdown software of media screen...Btw those cup holders are just fine for men,but women have shorter arms and that's biological problem ...😅😎

Two different cars, so you can't really compare them. The Proace is built in France and the Aygo in Czechia.
