Your channel and videos are the best. Saves me time and money... I have a 2007 Toyota sienna. Freon is full but it blows cold air only when driving but blows ambient/room temperature air when idle. Compressor and fans turn on as normal. Any advice?

I just had that issue on my sienna yesterday and it’s due to low Freon so when ur driving the compressor turns faster and also air flow cools condenser my car has leak small leak in evaporator core so what I do is recharge after 3 months every summer how ever u need to reservice the system it maybe low use ac machine recover vaccum and recharge the system

Hi RB, thanks for the video! My 2013 sienna AC just not working, when turn it on, thno cold air, car engine is not runing harder as usually it make lauder noise when turn AC on, and also there is no water coming out on the floor. And advise? Should i replace fuse, switch, relay? Or add AC recharge frigerant? Thank you!

Start with checking pressure and relay also check if low side like get cold

2015 sienna, seem to be cold when running on freeway, cool at best on idle or low speed. My friend add more freon but he say low side only go to 60 and high is not high enough? Fan work. Any recommendations?

Well if he used can to fill that’s no good u need to reservice recover it all and vacuum the system to recharge With cans u will never have the correct amount too much will cause as to malfunction to little malfunction

No not relay that seems like low Freon it will push more and cool more with high rpm and less when u slow or stop down. By the way check ur fans to see if they work on the radiator that could also cause this type of issue since u will get air cooling from the wind force but most likely u got low Freon might need to reservice the system

Hi RB. I have a 2015 Sienna and the AC blows ice cold when at idle or cruising but blows hot when accelerating. Then after about 30 seconds is cold again. Problem occurs when accelerating. Fans are working. Cabin Filter clean. High and low pressures on the gauges are within spec. Had a shop evacuate/dry the system and charge to the correct amount. I also put a new flow sensor on it but the problem still remains. I think it may the compressor control valve, lock sensor, or the compressor itself? Have you seen this issue? Check to see ur pressure reading it could be air pressure I usully get these type of issues or not cold enough and I do reservice just to clear out doubts

However, if the fuse blows? Could be signaling the compressor is failing? I know that fuse on Taurus & I call it the "compressor's going bad fuse"

It could be or weak fuse or could be too high pressure locking forcing the clutch

@@RBTheMechanic yes. Technically the clutch. I just replace the whole unit but I mean if clutch throws a fuse. Start with fuse, relay, etc. Good call. I got the 2006 sienna, but a friend with an 04 is chasin an ac issue thx

Start with servicing the ac systym it maybe low on freon

During idle mean low rpm compressor can’t pump enough cubits slow rpm and low Freon so try reservicing ac systym with ac machine recover vaccum and re charge propperly

No not relay it might be low on Freon or ac compressor is weak so u have to first check low and high pressure reading with ac on low side should be above or at 35psi and high 250-280

It’s probably your ac actuator door for that side, it controls hot and cold air. Both sides have them

I think ur ac is working but it’s not making cool enough on hot hot or sunny day or in sun. There for I would recommend u to do ac service with ac machine Freon might be low

Ok we own a 2012 sienna I added a can of r134 after doing so the compressor stopped working … prior to me adding the can it was working but wasn’t blowing it very cold kinda musky ?? Now it doesn’t blow any cold air out … my wife told me the ac does work at times but than stops blowing cold air …. What could this be ??

It is never good idea to use cans you have to redue ac service. With ac machine recover vacuum and recharge correct amount.

@HermyHerm heybso I got mine fixed it was little flow sensor on a compressor. To test turn the car on and ac on....if ac clutch is not engaged, put little magnet over the flow sensor and see if tha turns it on if it does its that flow sensor you can get it on Amazon $20
