We caught up with the Toyota team to check out their tricked out Sienna R-Tuned Minivan during the 2016 One Lap of America race.
The lightweight, race-tuned custom van trims about 700lb off the stock Sienna SE, and gets racing suspension, brakes and tires, and a limited-slip diff, but still has a stock 3.5L V6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Sienna R-Tuned went on to win its class for the overall race, and came in 20th out of 69 entrants overall, beating cars like a Porsche Cayman, Ford Mustang, Dodge Viper and Chevrolet Corvette.
One Lap of America is a modern day Cannonball Run, covering nearly 3,000 miles, with timed competitions at road courses, skid pads, autocross, and drag strips.

Toyota also entered a stock Sienna SE in the race just to prove that it's way more fun to drive than you might think.
