Who’s ready for a three-way Toyota showdown?! We’ve got a Mk4 Toyota Supra going up against a GR Yaris & Celica GT-Four!
So let’s see how these classic Toyotas stack up. First up we have the Mk4 Supra. With a 3-litre straight-six turbo under the bonnet, it can produce 320hp & 441Nm of torque.
Alongside it we have the GR Yaris. It may only have a 1.6-litre 3 cylinder under the bonnet, but it comes packed with AWD and the ability to put down 261hp & 360Nm!

Rally cars for the road are really rare these days, because the Lancer Evo is out, and the WRX is outdated. The only new rally car for the road is the GR Yaris which the only bad thing is that it doesn’t come to the US :(

I used to have a UK spec Toyota Celica GT-Four, one of 300 or so I was told. Loved it, silly fast acceleration but you could also get 30mpg out of it if you drove it nicely. It was decated and it had a 4" stainless steel exhaust throughout, it sounded awesome!

You should really test only well maintained old cars: a new and stock GT-four takes less 13.9 in the 400mt, and brakes in 36 meters from 100kmh

For anybody wondering I owned a Celica GT Four and it should have at least done a 13.8 second 1/4 mile time completely stock with a clutch that was acquired from the Non-Smoking section of the parts store.

I had a 98 model which came with ABS and traction control and I can ASSURE you that there would a VERY different outcome in both the drag race and the brake test although I do feel like the rolling race was possibly an accurate result.

@@Johngt4 Bro if the celica is really yours the factory clutch shouldn't even smoke like that. These cars are classics you should look after it better. My car did a 250 AWHP dyno when I bought it bone stock. I think the UK version was slightly underpowred but yours looks like a JDM. These celicas are very capable cars without any modifications but you have to maintain them.

Mat the rolling race is practically unfair for all the races. You should consider the winner by looking at the car which picked up speed well and maintained the speed per roads regulations. Just because you came pass the car that picked up well at 160mph doesn't make you a winner. There us no way you're gonna be overtaking 160mph on normal roads. Thats practically possible but not on our roads with limits and regulations. I would suggest if you judge by which car picked up well upto the limits in your country. Assuming that 150mph is the road limit, Let's say A picked up and left achieving 130 mph then B came passed it at 150(or less)mph, B wins. But if A picked up achieving 150mph then B comes past it at 160mph, A wins because it has observed regulations. B broke them so as to pass you which rules it out. Am a Driver in Kenya and mostly 120kmh is the maximum speed set and sometimes you want to overtake another car going at 110kph but you can't since you would have to drive at 120-140kph to overtake quick which poses risk against safety and also laws of the country. I hope it clear, its just an idea because some of the speed you overtake with in rolling races are practically not just applicable, and unsafe too on our roads.

Indeed I want more normal saloons on the channel, for example a six car comparison between the three generations of the Mazda 6 with the base petrol and diesel engines in each, which could be quite interesting... 😀🤔 . Followed by races in the more powerful engines 😀🤘 . In particular I want to see the differences between the base petrols in each, while there are also differences in their steering racks suspension systems and gearboxes. Particularly here in Ireland, from about 2010, while you could still get a petrol engine in the 6, it was a single choice in the base spec, with two diesels available across the three available specs, with petrol only offered again in the mid spec from 2019 and finally in the top spec again (but now as an automatic only!) only this year when they've finally gotten rid of diesel engines. With the range now having three petrol engines. Even in the third gen itself, it's changed significantly with three refreshes in 2015 and as said in 2019 and 2021, with the 2019 cars being heavier with thicker doors and other body panels for an "improved premium feel" 🤔😀 .
