I'm here from some poorly written autoevolution article saying the Supra was stock. As a long-term MKIV owner, it's obviously a single turbo Supra per the exhaust note. Unfortunately it looks like the driver's first trip down a drag strip without much instruction. Nice car, try again. Here's some tips: 1) if you roll through the water box, you must do a burnout for the obvious reason your drive tires are now wet. 2) when staging, ease into the top bulb, then ease into the bottom bulb. If you go past and unlight bulbs, back up, otherwise you red light like happened here. In all fairness the starter guy was a dick. 3) don't let off the throttle or brake until you clear the last box or go past the timing lights as seen in this video.

Mustang guy got a damn good launch, great performance all around and stock Mustangs are fast. But also Supras stock or close to stock aren't exactly "10 second cars". Great for the time, but you still need to put work into that 2jz to get crazy drag numbers. Still, sounded amazing and looks great too.

Prob not at all or not much 13.5 seem about right for a stock supra. People tend to overrate the hell out of them just cause of one movie. Add how insanely overpriced thwy are now and unless youre hella wealthy you have any money to even mod it after. Getting a clean one of these in manual and right hand drive even at 100K miles would mean 70-100k upfront, literally better off buying a GT500, Hellcat, GTR, M4/M3, anything really over buying a Supra in 2024 and modding it. Unless youre rich

You can not be a mustang guy and post that... On paper you can't even compare the two. In stock format the gen 3 coyote makes 460hp and about 390 to 410hp to the wheel.. has a better transmission and is only 100lb heavier... the 5.0 makes more power to the wheel then the supra makes to the crank.. to put in perspective just how strong gen 3 10r80's are there's a race on YT of a 600whp supra struggling to beat a 480whp bolt on 5.0... the mustang is out right better car.
