We rebuild the entire front suspension of this nice Tacoma. Things didn't go as planned as per usual, but we got it under control and will have it completed in a few days. Please like comment and subscribe for more!!

Love my projects but I have a 1st gen Tacoma as a daily and it's perfect. Trying my best to not modify it but it's been tough. Haha. Loving the content 💪🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey, great, great job. All this parts should be changed on my 02 Tacoma 4x2. Many people say me that a Tacoma 99-02 4x2 and 4x4 have the same frame. If it’s true, that’s great for me. I want my Tacoma be 4x4 without change the frame. Are the control arms, rack and pinion, etc and all parts there, compatible with a 4x4 system? If I can do it my Tacoma 4x4 I’ll enjoy the pick up too much. Your channel Is fabulous for me and I will follow you on all your projects. Thank you.

How much estimated would it cost to replace all the parts on the front end ball joints upper lower tie rods in or outer lower control arm

I just did all that on my 2000 4Runner and it's over a thousand $ in parts alone if you do the job yourself and go with upgraded aftermarket parts designed for these trucks with a suspension lift. For example: Trakmotive Extended Travel CV Axles - $500/pair - OEM are around $350/ea and are prone to failure on lifted trucks JBA Upper Control Arms: $548/pair - OEM are $460/pair and have poor alignment capability on a lifted truck 555 Lower Ball Joints: $145/pair - don't buy MOOG as they are prone to failure Whiteline Lower Control Arm Bushings: $78 - Far superior to OEM LCA bushings and have a lifetime warranty SPC Alignment Cam Bolts: $55 - Chances are your original alignment cams are rusted Tie Rods $75/pair That doesn't count any labor or other parts. The SPC adjustable Upper control Arms are north of $700/pair as are most other UCAs for these trucks. The JBA arms that I bought come with a superior bushing design (IMHO) and a beefier ball joint (IMHO) with more articulation and 3* of Caster built in. The Trakmotive extended travel axles are stronger than OEM and again come with more articulation, plus they have a CV joint with 47* of articulation on both ends, foregoing the OEM inner Tulip Joint design. The factory control arm bushings, both upper and lower, are rubber bushings on which the arms pivot. The rubber has to flex to allow the suspension to move. This is fine for a stock truck. The rubber bushings are designed to isolate the driver from the road. Fine for a grocery getter, but prone to tearing on a lifted truck that sees significant off-road action. The Polymer and/or Synthetic Elastomer bushings on the after market arms and Whiteline bushing replacement still offer a nice ride quality whole providing superior suspension articulation and bushing longevity. The aftermarket upgraded arms pivot on sleeves instead of flexing rubber bushings. Hope this helps.
