They got rid of American Jobs lowering their costs and dropped the naturally aspirated V6. They also got rid of passenger space in the back seats. They got rid of the solid rear axle. The American consumer knows that Toyota raised prices and lowered their costs, this means that Americans are moving to the Nisan Fronteer due to better reliability and lower cost.

4th Gen Tacoma reliability... Is it a concern? I say no and engineers and others confirm this. Do revolutions in the engine matter? Yes. Every engine can only handle so many turns of the crank before parts give to engine failure. 3rd Gen owners that hate the new engine, and outsiders who never drove nor done research will say 3rd Gen and or any NA motor will outlast the new plant. It's simply couldn't be farther from the truth, and Toyota knows their place lives in their longevity. You ever wonder why diesel engines last so long? Most say oh it's the fuel. But in reality it's due to high torque at low rpm. Low revolutions in the engines life cycle per mile. The new 2.4 max torque at 1700 rpm. It runs its curve mainly below 2k rpm. And the hybrid even more so. Watch and learn these engines will be 300k engines or more with proper care. Heat is the enemy on turbo engines. They have a V8 style sized cooling system on this tiny engine. Both port and direct injection. Will keep the valve body clean. This low rpm motor will last much longer than the average joe is thinking. Time will prove it. It's why Toyota put it in most of the midsized lineup. They already know. The hate you hear around on social media is nothing more than people who are uneducated on the why they think such things vs the reality of this new power plant.

@@TrailHunterAdventures cool opinion, I'm sure there's no bias there based on your YT handle. I've seen more 2024 tacos on flatbeds this year than the entire 8 year run of the 3rd gens.

You realize if you put exactly what you have on your 3rd Gen as specs into a 4th Gen it's within a grand in price new.. yet with upgraded everything. Rear discs. Longer a arms. Coil rear. Box Frame. Better axles more power.. better seating comfort. The list goes on and on.. and reliability.. Another concern for me: In Canada It's not possible to get a Sport model with automatic transmission and a 5ft bed combo. Toyota Canada refuses to import this model/option here. With the price they ask for, I would have to make compromises...? No thank you.

I believe people don’t realize, just how poor a 4 cylinder, turbo charged engines are. They might be better on fuel use, but they fail in long term performance issues. I’m not buying Toyota. 😖

Big price increases and less quality. Easily a hard pass. Would rather by 2 or 3 year old model.
@batfury931915 күн бұрын
Toyota decided to do away with the V-6 engine, why? Pull out of San Antonio to be built in Mexico where they pay their workers less than in the USA or Japan and charge us more for a truck with a cramped back seat and cheap ass interior plastics, engine and transmission that might fail. And let’s not forget the extended cab Tacoma, why did Toyota or whoever decide to do away with the rear access doors that made it easy to put or remove items from behind the front seats. I test drove a new 2024 Tacoma and I walked away so disappointed with this new truck, heck even the dealer told me the model before this one was a much better truck. If I was in the market to buy a new truck today I would go for the new Nissan Frontier King Cab. But for now I’ll just hold on to my old and very reliable 1989 Toyota extended cab pickup with its 4 cylinder engine that has never let me down. Toyota, you can keep your new overpriced Tacoma.

Total sales of the taco 24, near 200,000. Better than Nisson, Ford and Chevy COMBINED. The video is just clickbate. Unsubscribe to guys like this. More expensive ?Yes. Bad choice by Toyota? Numbers don't lie buts video guys do. I have a suggestion- if you have a product that that allows you to raise your price and you still kill it, DO IT!
@CRO2themoon19 күн бұрын
I used to buy only Toyota. Not anymore. They move production to Mexico and increase prices 20 percent or more on some Models. They think people are dumb. Things haven’t changed for 2025. The lowered prices by less than 1 percent. lol. What a joke.

If you spec a 24 or 25 Tacoma with exactly what you have in previous years. It's within 1k. All models have more upgrades. Stop looking at models and look what's in them. Not to mention you can get a based spec Tacoma with everything a 23 has all while getting upgrades all around the truck. Box Frame. Coil rear suspension. Rear disc. Longer control arms, upgraded axles shafts. 8 spd trans. More power. Better comfort. And reliability.. @ ur crazy. My 2022TRD pro cost me 48,500. The new one is $67,000. How the hell do you figure that’s only $1000 difference?
@CRO2themoon17 күн бұрын
@ I can give two shits about the damn seats with the springs in them or whatever the hell they’re called if they’re gonna have $5000 to the price, maybe they should think twice while putting that stupid shit in a vehicle.
@CRO2themoon17 күн бұрын
@ no matter how you look at it the prices are way over inflated. They move their production to Mexico to save money, but then turned around and charge 25% more for the vehicle makes no freaking sense. I do understand the technology come along way and the vehicles are a lot more equipped and they used to be absolutely and I love Toyota. I really do but their inflated prices are fucking ridiculous. Not to mention that you get a TRD pro and it doesn’t even come lifted. It has like a 1 inch lift or whatever meanwhile the GMC Canyon comes with a 3 inch lift and actually looks a hell of a lot nicer.
