Toyota Tercel 4WD Weber 32/36 Carburetor Primary Jet Swapping

Short Video showing how to get to the Weber 32/36 carburetor jets in order to change the jet size.
I believe most come standard with the 140 jet. I have gone down in increments of 5 to 125. My car ran better every time I dropped down. MPG started at 25 mpg and only increased to 26 mpg.

The jets on each side are idle jets. Primary on left secondary on right.

Also, those 2 jets on the side are your primary and secondary idle jets. Weber carbs run mainly on the idle jets, reduce those for better mpg, leave your main jets larger for power.

good idea using a bolts i have the stock studs with nuts n washers you gotta watch out for taking off, I was running a 140 in the bowl which my truck was back firing after i turned the engine off, so I went down to 135 and after I drove across town i did fine and then today going to work I started chokin out of fuel so I ended up towing it home since I didnt wanna run it hard since its a fresh rebuild.

That red logo means that is a real carb and the sticker is the cheap one. Is that correct?

That means it’s a fake chinese knockoff of a Weber,they can be troublesome removing the Jets they use cheap ass material and can break very easily if you apply lot of force..

@@theretrogeek2281 i noticed on the Facebook tercel group to avoid the sticker and get the red logo carb if i ever decide to get one or if i have to get one.

@@euclideszoto997 Usually a real weber it has to be stamped on the metal the word WEBER and says MADE IN SPAIN ,or ITALY that’s the only way it’s original usually it also has a white electric choke not black and has a couple of blue dots near the fuel intake coupling..

Hello sir i want to ask you if i have to do a gear box swap on my 85 tercel from 4wd gear box to only rwd gear box witch gear box should i use thank you

So you want a 2wd vehicle but you have a 4wd. Correct?

I suppose you could remove the front axles, cut off the tranny ends and plug them back into the tranny to keep oil from coming out then leave tranny in 4wd all the time. You may want to join the facebook 4wd tercel site and bring subject up or tercel4wd.com

I have 2 tercel 1 is in a good condition but need a gear box and the other one is very rusted but with a good 4wd gear box so i want to swap the gear box to the good one and put a rwd gear box to the rusty one and driving it
