Thank you very much for the very informative video. I recently replaced the valves, and it helped me a lot. However, I did a simple trick which saved me a lot of time: I disassembled both new and old valves and installed new solenoids and membranes into the old pedestal, not removing it from the engine. The old valve assembly was the original Toyota, and the new one was made by Dorman (I suspect both of them were made at the same factory in China :) ). Everything matched perfectly: holes on the pedestal and on solenoids` flanges, the seal groove configuration, membrane size and thickness etc.

Thank you for great video and your effort to record it. I know it have been awhile ago now since you recorded. Just wanted to mention looks like when you assembled back, that thick foam liner have been left out between valve and manifold. I'm sure you caught later. Done that myself before with other parts. Thank you for sharing your video.

Thank you for this excellent video! This is a real work of art, documenting an excellent job. It's easy to see why a lot of smaller shops are eager to change the pumps, but shy away from the valves: the valves require a lot more work. But from what I've read, there is a huge inter-relationship between pumps and valves: problems with either device can cause problems with the other. PS: You can work on my Tundra any time!

Don't buy the dorman valves, you can get the toyota ones on ebay for about 300 which is almost the same price as dorman, also there is an updated inlet pipe for the air pumps that prevent them from sucking in water causing the valves to rust. All the part numbers are listed on the TSB for this problem.
