Do you have to do a ECM tune? I heard you have to do a Tune even if you just do an H-Pipe and High Flow Exhaust. Also Why can you Not have High Flow headers with a Supercharger?
@VMPPerformanceTV2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the vehicle itself. You'll find that most modern vehicles will require tuning if anything effects what the sensors are measuring. With a supercharger, you'll definitely need a calibration because of the increased airflow and fuel demand from adding forced induction.

Dyno numbers on the stock engine are way low. I’ve got a 2007 Tundra with 5.7 and it is hands down the quickest truck I’ve ever had. Aren’t the power #’s really close to 400 hp and torque

Big tires and 430 gears hurt numbers.

2007-2021 Stock tundra makes 300-310 rwhp. They’re one of the slowest trucks in today’s standards. A 5.0 with e85 tune would outrun a supercharged tundra.
@esteemedenergy2 жыл бұрын
@@bradmo9281 You’r not very bright, are you? A whipple 2.9 Tundra is 490rwhp. A much newer F150 with the 5.0 even with a E85 tune is 400rwhp, and that is if you get the blend correct. E85 just sucks and more of a hassle as each station has varying amounts. So, a supercharged Tundra will destroy a 5.0. Also, the F150 is still just a Ford, which is to say - falls apart.
@bradmo92812 жыл бұрын
@@esteemedenergy I’m plenty bright I’ve owned both of the trucks. Have you ever heard of a thing called power to weight ratio. Plus the 10 speed in the f150. My truck makes 458 rwhp with just a simple bolt mustang manifold e85 and off road y-pipe. The tundras are great dependable trucks but are heavy and slow compared to the newer ones.

That's crazy, just a good exhaust and cold air will produce that on a stock engine, the math ain't mathin.

Wheel HP is a lot different than the 381 crank hp. Wheel HP is also dependent on tire size. The number to focus on is the delta between before and after.

Will this pass emissions tests in California? Also, what MPG does this give the truck? If this was answered in the video, I apologize for asking, but the video will not play. Most likely an issue with my computer, not the video.

It's important to keep in mind the goals and usage of the vehicle. This kit is just a 7 psi kit meant for a moderate upgrade/increase in performance.

@@Andreallen4 Well that’s your economics. 44% increase in power is pretty damn good and cheaper than getting into a brand new boosted vehicle
@Andreallen42 жыл бұрын
@@Captndarty that’s funny. I have 2 project cars, one over 700whp and a FBO Coyote, a house an a truck. Economics isn’t my issue. It’s that a kit that barely makes 400whp is a waste of money, or the platform you are modding is a weak platform for power. Either way money don’t make you smart, especially when little is gained from spending it.
