Great video! Only thing I wanted to add for viewers that could save them some time I have a 16 tundra and couldn’t get the rotors off. Must release the parking brake Pads inside the rotors for them to slide off. If you bash them off with a hammer you will knock apart the drum brake assembly and now you have that to deal with. There’s a hole in the rotor for a screwdriver and the adjustment arm is located around the 7oclock mark

Also, Toyota rotors come with threaded holes to push them off. There's no reason to hammer on a Toyota. Grab two M8, grade 8 bolts and throw them in the tool box for brake jobs.

Question what brake pads did the customer have I found the same I doing it again because the rotors warped and the pads squeeeeeeeeellll bad. 1500$ down the poop pipe my steering wheel vibrates really bad and I can hear the rear tire squeal because of the rotor warping. Yes, I did seat them. What parts did you use? I 2 footed jumped into the internet rabbit hole to fix the problem. After all the searching I got TRD pads and EBC rotors and all around new calipers.

responsible mechanic does proper torque on all bolts. They don't use an impact to assemble things like the brakes. Otherwise a decent video.

2019 tundra here, the caliper brackets were 19mm

You didn’t torque all the bolts, did not clean the rotors with brake cleaner, and touching the surfaces of the rotors. Most other mechanics advised the opposite of what you did. I am confused.

I really like the video it's very informative! But I'm puzzled why does tundra have drum brakes and disc brakes I've never seen this setup before. Can you explain why Toyota tundra designed their rear brakes like this.

Drum brake is the Emergency Brake.

Maybe add instructions if the rotors are stuck on. Mention the 2 smaller threaded holes that require bolts to assist in removing the rotors. I'm not sure the size. Luckily I had the right size.

I thought if you lubricate the contact points you are creating a situation where all the brake dust and dirt from the road will now just stick to that area? I’ve found leaving it alone is better. Could I be wrong?

Sorry Jabo but that was a half ass brake job. No cleaning of corrosion from the wheel hub, no cleaning of the caliper bracket. I know you’re after efficiency and profit but that wouldn’t add more than 10 extra minutes to each side specially since you are making KZbin videos you should always try to show your best. No hate, just recommending doing it the professional and correct way for next time.
