BADASS Truck. I love this thing and that paint color is really cool. Tough, rugged and balls to the wall the way trucks used to be. I love this thing it's a beast off-road

Very good value option for those who don't need every bell and whistle. If you need heated seats and power folding mirrors, you probably aren't Pro material. This isn't as sexy as I am, but Tundra Pro is a solid place to start truckin', until I arrive.

+Mid West get the TRD PRO for 20 grand less than a Craptor and leave the Craptor in the dust in the stock full class in the Baja 1000 lol, the Craptor never won that race but the Tundra did, in 2014 the Craptor broke down early in the race and never finished, kind of ironic that a truck that was designed and engineered specifically for that kind of racing never won in that class, what's even more amazing is the fact that they drove that same Tundra for another 1000 miles after the race back to Torrence Ca

guy proulx lol I feel you. Ford has been pissing me off with their prices. They act like their vehicles are luxury goods. Ford vehicles stay in and out the shop. I have a ford escape with a check engine light on and it barely crossed the 60k mark. my girlfriend has a ford fusion and it has the check tire sensor light on and no one seems to know how to keep the lights off. lmao.

Mid West that's the reason that the domestics have 7 to 10 grand incentives, 0% interest and employee pricing lol, they sure love to add bells and whistles that are prone to fail and make more more with parts and labour, domestics are money pits, i bought my first Toyota back in '88 and never looked back, there's a reason they are always on top in past to present reliability ratings with the best resale in the business, the domestics have a hard time making the top 10 lol

The V8 sounds great but 13 mpg isn't very competitive with the other offerings in the segment. People will buy it due to the Toyota reputation, but you are right the interior is missing a lot of features.

Tundra isn't sold in the Middle East. I think you're referring to the Toyota HiLux, not sold in the USA. The U.S. Army did purchased a number of Tacomas for use during the Gulf/Iraq Wars. The fast, agile, and tough Tacoma is well equipped for service in that harsh region. The Tundra is well built, but just too big - a heavy tank.
@MrBobbyBrown2006

Toyota needs to make their interest rates more competitive. You can get a Ram Rebel at 0% for 84 months, but at the same term the Tundra sits at 5.4%. Even at 36, 48, and 60 month terms.... the interest rate is still a very high 4.59%. That's thousands of dollars extra over those time periods someone will pay due to those interest rates. At least this is how it currently is in Canada. I'm unsure of the interest rates for Ram or Toyota in the USA.

Toyota is more reliable and are better trucks overall their rates are higher for the fact that they are and that they have a better resale value!

+Doug T I said 84 months because usually the longer the term the higher interest rate you pay. I was using it as an example, I never said that's what I wanted or it was okay.

I honestly love the Tundra, and if I was going to buy a used truck built before 2011 I would go for one. Brand new, the issue is it just doesn't have the technology the newer trucks have. The Fuel Economy is considerably less than GMs 6.2L. They should have gone Dodges route if they were planning on keeping the Tundra around for 9 model years and added new tech/options as it went on. Lexus has an 8-sp auto (the very first 8-sp if I remember correctly), they could make a stronger version of that and stuck it behind this 5.7L. Can you buy the suspension pieces as a kit for an older Tundra?

The big 3 don't tell the truth about real world MPG and are not even as American made as the Tundra. But I do understand that people wish the Big 3 could be as good as Toyota.

I work at GM in Tonawanda NY and i drive a Tundra. A large majority of my coworkers also drive Tundras and 4Runners they are better suited for the tough Buffalo winters. Toyota's are just mad to last it sucks to say because i grow up with Silverado's but GM is not what it was and that's FACT. I have a few buddies that are engineers for GM that feel the same way and drive Tundras enough said.

Because LEDs are worth the additional 10k right?
@ast5515
@ast5515 8 жыл бұрын
Mr. Tbag No. The point is that LEDs cost 500 bucks for the car manufacturers, yet they charge 5 times of that. At least... Benefits of LEDs: 1. You don't have to change them twice a year. 2. You see more of the road. 3. You don't blind everyone in the process. 4. The thing that allows you to drive at night isn't from 1920.
@Yogangster1995
@Yogangster1995 8 жыл бұрын
ast5515 You are right on most of this, but i disagree on a few points. 3 is a lie, LEDs hurt like a bitch. Maybe it's my sensitive ass eyes, but i much prefer halogens than LEDs. They hurt less. I also disagree with 1, i didn't need to replace the lights on our '01 van until just last year. But regardless, i do see your point.
@ast5515
@ast5515 8 жыл бұрын
Mr. Tbag The problem isn't with LEDs themselves. In the US, your LED headlights are projector, like HIDs. In Europe, most of them are not even a single LED, but like 10 LEDs / light. They all light a different area, and if the car detects oncoming trafic, it switches off the part that could blind others. And most of these systems REALLY work unlike projector HIDs that are only trying to do something similar. As for replacing halogen bulbs, my car eats low beams every 2-3 months.

Hi Steve, does the Tundra TRD Pro handle good on road, or does it lean a lot on turns like some other lifted trucks? Trying to find out if its a sporty fun to drive pickup since they are hard to find to test drive. Would you buy it as your daily driver? Your thoughts? Great review btw. Thanks
