Yes, it's wrong to use 0 w 16. The right oil is 0w 08 for that engine.

@@henrikpedersen343 For the M15A engine on the Yaris models 0w8, 0w16, 0w20 and 5w30 are all allowed by Toyota. However, 0w8 is ''preferred'' by them.

My 2022 model has started twice after two week long vacations, once in winter and one in spring.I would therefore class it as a myth. Just drive the car regularly and you'll love it, just as I do.
