Good information! My daughter's car was doing the same thing. I cleared the drain tube and no more problem. I also had leaking in my 1st gen Tundra, which needed the plastic plugs in the cowl area below the windshield re-sealed. Each vehicle is now dry inside!

Don’t ever clean or change the cabin filter and debris and leaves make their way to the evaporator core and water condensation brings down the debris into the drain pipe eventually blocking the water passage way😂 Thanks for the video.

It’s obvious the owner never raises the hood between oil changes, otherwise they’d probably clean the leaves out. Typical people, just fuel up and drive. When the sticker says oil change due… they take it in. Folks are so lucky Toyota builds bulletproof cars.

Those leaves can build up real fast- I didn't even have 2,000 miles on my 08 Yaris that was parked under redwoods that stuff came flying out the vents because the factory forgot the cabin air filter.

I don't have that problem with my 2007 Yaris because I don't live where trees are abundant (Silicon Valley), plus I keep the cowling clean. Outstanding detective work!

I clean my engine bay to be nice to my mechanics. I like to leave them a nice, clean engine bay to work in.

Leaves cause rust and ruins paint. I remove them from my cars daily. They also plug up water drains in the fenders.

Owner should vacuum regularly as well as change cabin filter regularly. First time I changed my cabin filter on my 2010 corolla, mice had built a nest 🤨

Don't try this trick on a sunroof drain tube, as there is a high likelihood of blowing apart connections between the sunroof and the outlet. I learned to use ribbed weed whacker cord and twisting it as you feed it in, like a plumber snake.
