The new 2021 Accord is now full-size. Used to be mid-size, but it has since moved up into the full-size category. So now it's in the same category as the Avalon.

Apparently, the Chrysler 300, Nissan maxima, and the Avalon are basically what makes up the competition. I think there are a few other sedans but not sure

Believe it or not, the accords dimensions are actually bigger than the avalon even though it's listed as a mid size sedan.

There is no contest with Accord vs Avalon....Avalon is "Lexus-like" and very slept on to the masses probably why I'm so interested in it. So many Camry's on the road, however that's the Accord's competition not the Avalon. The Avalon curb stomps the Accord.
