Drove a 1998 ES for 19 years, loved it. Now gotta older Maxima. Toyota/Lexus feel Smooth, sophisticated. Maxima feels like beautiful Beast. Different worlds.

The Avalon front end is hideous. Not to mention, no lockable glove box, no sunglass container, and cheap hard plastic that connects the floating center stack. I've driven both in my corporate fleet, and the Maxima is far superior with better driving dynamics, looks, and interior design. As far as what the EPA says on paper, in real testing, I averaged better fuel economy in the Maxima. I don't get what the point of this video was. It was just a run down of specs anyone could get anywhere with not much differentiation in favor of the Avalon.

For example, with Benz, why is the 2013 e350 prettier than the 2020s? Is the design becoming more and more common... or is it not showing the pretty design? The future design of 2050 is also pretty, but the middle feels bad. A completely futuristic or completely classic design is pretty. The 2020s seems too ordinary. All brands are.
