Wow! Just wow! I'm loving these videos of the Japanese exclusives so much. Until i started watching your channel, i didn't have much knowledge of them, so its been so fantastic to be introduced to them. Not only do they look super cool im also starting to appreciate their amazing play value! I 100% agree that if we had had these figures the franchise would have totally rejuvenated itself over night!

That was an excellent video. I had no idea about the two Star Saber variants until this very video, so thank you for pointing that out to us. The little Brainmaster actually has a name, sort of, he's known as Yuki no Brain or Brain of Courage. The jet he combines with is just called Saber (or I guess you can call it the Saber Jet) and of course Star Saber is the robot mode. The large back portion of the jet, which also becomes a base is called the V Star and of course that's what Star Saber combines with to form his Battle Mode. I've seen from TheCollector75's review of Star Saber fro years ago that sometimes the Battle Mode head has trouble keeping itself covering over Star Saber's regular face, though this can be fixed by a attaching a small bit of blutack inside the battle mode face, just to keep it in place (if that happens). That large combined Victory Saber jet and robot modes do look superb and I can easily see why it takes pride of place in your collection. It's ironic that a lot of the main Yuusha/Brave series combiners take up after Star Saber as he was sort of a prototype for how Takara would make them, Star Saber even has similar legs to a Brave combiner. :D Do keep up the good work. :)

I was thinking of going it to more detail and mention all their names etc, but chose not to and just talk about the toys. I would say that 90% of my viewers haven’t even seen victory as the amount of questions I’ve been getting about him on my Instagram when i started posting pictures a couple of weeks ago is crazy. so I consciously didn’t want to overload them. I’m thinking of doing a collective autobots from victory video and then going in to details like that. what do you think?

I love your knowledge on the Japanese G1. I didn't even know that Star Saber had a base mode and I've had him for going on 3 years lol. Him and Victory Leo are in the top 10 best Japanese G1 figures in my opinion. Thank you for sharing Brutha.

@@ToysareRuss The closest Transformers figure I have to Star Saber is Energon Wing Saber. :D He is great in the fact that he looks like Star Saber, and is based on him, but his articulation rivals a G2 Transformer. :P :D

Thank you, thank you very much, back then my dad give me this toy and I really2 took care of it, I always put it back in the box after playing with it, it's my most treasured toy but then a relatives son visiting and took interest on it, so may mom just give it to him, last night I just dreaming bout my childhood playing with dad and this toy, when I wake up I still can't remember what's that toy name, and then here I am, it really brings back my lost childhood memories. Ah yes I see it. It makes sense to have a base mode because a lot of figures had that at this time. Star Saber is almost like another Powermaster Optimus Prime but just as a jet not a truck with some changes of course as it’s an original character for this toyline, but the transformation of a smaller vehicle fitting into a bigger and folding up Saber to form the chest is very much like Powermaster Prime. Star Saber looks much better though.

It is a bit like Pm prime or ginrai but it was very common in japan for their figures to be full playsets.
