I am absolutely frothing at the mouth for my Haslab Deathsaurus, so much so I shelled out $300 for Combiner Wars Liokaiser just to have a Hellbat, Guyhawk, Kill Bison and Drill horn to go along with him. I hope we get a proper modern Liokaiser one day.

I am also super excited for it, i bought the third party hades which is liokaiser as he should be and i think he will work pretty well with Deathsaurus. They are all about voyager scale the combiner is 15 or 16 inches and looks fantastic. I think i spent around 300 for him maybe or a lil less idr but yeah him and the third party dinoking. Really looking forward to deathsaurus

Just watched the Haslabs unboxing and as cool as that was, this was way more fun to watch, the paint and the chrome on the original really pops. I know you’ve been wanting a complete version of this guy for a while, so pleased for you Russ. Love the original packaging also!

It’s a delight to see you put the original Deathsaurus through his paces! And, indeed, it is astounding how much bigger he and Star Saber are versus the rest of their line. 😝 Also, I like to rename Dez and Liokaizer as the Heart Force, and so rename Dez’s partners as Tigerheart and Eagleheart, too. And, FWIW, I watched at least some of Victory for the first time like 15 or 20 years ago through the TFCog fan dub project, and had fond memories of that. But, it took me another dozen or so years before I got around the JG1 trilogy and I adored Victory! And, last year, I rewatched Victory in anticipation of MMC D-Zef, and I still enjoyed it, but the kid who is supposed to act as an audience surrogate grated on me a bit. 🙃 I also loved Deathsaurus in IDW1, and in Transfotmers Galaxies… tho I didn’t really love what happened to him in the ongoing TF comic of IDW2. 🙃 Finally, the DezLab didn’t do enough for me, but I’m hoping Iron Factory may get around to him whenever they start on their Liokaizer, and maybe even MasterMade will rise from their grave to get cracking on Victory.

What a fantastic figure, one of my favourite Japanese exclusives. The main Breastforce gimmick is awesome and the secondary one of doubling up as Targetmaster style weapons and you’ve got the storage function too. Him and Liokaiser look phenomenal together.

Deszaras-sama. Not to worry, the box does say Deszaras. Because the katakana doesn't say "Deathsaurus" if it did it would be like this デスザウルス, there is a couple more and alternate kanji to that word compared to what's written on the box. It's also written that way on the box in English. Let Hasbro and all these 'fans' know that they are dead wrong about your name! :D

@@Loanstalker Getting super anal with me over a simple error is something that you would do to make yourself feel big and justify your corporate butt kissing to Hasbeenbro! I admit I'm not an EXPERT on the Japanese language so I'm unfamiliar of how kanji and katakana are used. I only know Hirogana is used to translate foreign text back into Japanese. However, I do know THAT DEATHSAURUS IS NOT WRITTEN ON THE BOX! Creep!

I can understand why you kept referring to him as the butchered name 'Deathsaurus' for the baka gaijin (idiot foreigners) who don't get Japan (like the TFWiki, Chris Mcfeely and Hasbro themselves), however he is a kaiju bird monster, not a dragon. His name 'Deszaras' actually alludes to that, as its tradition to give kaiju weird and wonderful names as seen in Godzilla and Gamera movies, the Ultra series etc. He does look like a dragon, but he is indeed a kaiju. Plus, the gold on his mouth alludes to it being a beak. In it's own way, the butchered name also aludes to this, dinosaurs being related to birds and such. It's hard to take the 'Chest Force' thing seriously after the stunt baka gaijin's Hasbro has just pulled I'm afraid. Yes, it also says 'Deszaras' on the box because the katakana characters don't say 'Deathsaurus', if it did it would look like this デスザウルス the characters look similar at first, but there is a couple more then there are on the box and the last couple are different to what's on the box itself. OK, tirade over. The original Deszaras is an awesome figure and just the right size for a Decepticon/Destron leader, especially when compared to Star Saber on his own. Brilliant job. :)

You see 'Deathsaurus' is NOT official, and if it is then it proves Hasbro's stupidity as apart from adult orientated collectors' items they can't sell it on the market not towards children anyway, due to the inclusion of the word "Death" in its name. Secondly Godzilla is actually official, when it was brought over to be released in English, Toho themselves confirmed that the western name should be Godzilla. 'Deathsaurus' came into existence only because of ignorant English people who didn't have the slightest clue over Japanese traditions within their popular culture, but now we know better, at least we 'should' know better. But Hasbro and others decide that they would continue to be idiots and disrespect Japan. What i said about the kanji is still accurate PLUS on official Japanese subbed DVD's and Manga, they wisely used the Japanese name, because that's his name. The only official time that was screwed up was by Omni by calling him 'Deszanras' but that was only because there was no English equivalent of his name and they too were not clear about the tradition, despite Omni dubbing the Heisei series of Godzilla movies.

Deathsaurus as David has put is just a made up name from years ago for translation. In japan he’s not known as nor do they even recognise deathsaurus as his name. His name is dezarus
