The scarecrow and manbat were my childhood, man. Glad they still go for cheap today and look fine with modern stuff. Absolutely love this line and wish toys could still be well sculpted and have gimmicks, I think it'd be worth it even if they sacrificed some articulation

Imagine if the line continued and they made Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two Face and others in this style. That would have been awesome.

I have mine displayed alongside the Night Force Ninjas Killer Croc, Riddler, and Azrael, which fit right in. Also the Mission Masters Virus Attack Mr. Freeze goes well with them too!

If you pull Scarecrow apart at the waist a little it spins freely. Not sure you were aware.

I had the Scarecrow figure as a kid. Always thought it was super cool. This entire line is underrated.

These figures have some really strong presence, you really cant look at one without admiring it regardless of how how inaccurate the design might technically be.

I loved the sculpture of these figures, they truly outdone themselves in detail. I even bought the joker for my bookshelf when I was a kid.

My brother and I had that Bane and Scarecrow. I didn’t really “get” this toy line as a kid either, but I appreciate the idea all these years later. Great blast from the past courtesy of Toy Shiz!

I adore this line. Still some of my all-time favorite sculpts. 90's toys were fun incarnate. By the way, there is Joker variant from this line in more of TDKR colors. It was Toy Fare exclusive and is impossible to find. Those four Toy Fare LOTDK exclusives are some of my holy grails.

I was going to include but there not enough info on them. Joker, Catwoman, Bat Attack Batman but do you know what the 4th one is by chance?
@bojanandjelkovic3029
@bojanandjelkovic3029 2 жыл бұрын
@@ToyShiz The fourth one is the repaint of Glacier Shield Batman in gray/gunmetal silver and dark blue. Not to be confused with Funskool usage of the mold, where he was repainted in black, gray and blue with light blue translucent "ice" cape.

@@ToyShiz And speaking of Bat Attack Batman, he goes great against (or with) Panther Prowl Catwoman. :D Exclusive one may have better colors by Batman standards, but the regular one is equally as awesome in his Decepticony color scheme. :D

This is what I like about old figures. They may not have lots of articulation but had such great sculpts and paints and details. They looks super dope

I remember finding these for the first time at my neighborhood Caldor. Yeah, anyone else remember that place? Crappy a store as it was it at least had a decent toy section. Anyway, when I first saw these I liked them for their cool factor as well as their unusually large size for Batman figures at the time (HUGE bat-fan here, btw) and at first I thought that they were from a really cool sounding comic book that I was missing out on. I did pick up a few of these too: Batman with robotic bat armor, Catwoman with robotic panther armor, Joker with blow-open body and more recently I scored the Scarecrow figure from this line because he's my favorite Batman villain and I like his design here. I should still have Scarecrow somewhere but the rest of them are sadly long gone. Thanks for sharing this, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who remembers these.

Well since they describe Wild as an imp, I imagine he's a 5th dimensional being like Bat-Mite or Mr Mxyzptlk

Great video! I remember you mentioned your love for these figs on the Adventures in Collecting 90s Draft episode. This line never did it me (Batman looked less cool compared to the villains offered) but I do have a similar love for the Legends of Batman line released right before this one. From cool elseworlds Batmans in history, to roided out villains like Riddler to the bizarre but insanely sweet grey Batmobile. Despite being smaller, every fig was a delight for me.

I remember this line. I think Kenner did Legends of Batman before this one. That one or this one had the very first Nightwing figure (which I have). Like you, I didn't entirely get this line. I was into the comics and the animated series, but these were something else lol.

These 90s figs are like Kelly Jones art, meets Simon Bizley art, meets The Todd fathers brain. So bizarre. I have the entire line of these but in boxes, as a kid I was kinda creeped out to open any. So thanks for showing me what their action features were. I think these "looks" would make a great hero/horror movie for Warner.

Oh man…I remember when this line first ran! VERY cool series in the bat-toy franchise. What made it even cooler? The Man Bat ID on its right pectoral…it is Dr. Langstrom’s!! And very well detailed too 👍

Really fun designs! I really love the imagination and creativity on display with these 90s figures and definitely miss that expressive and dynamic anatomy you saw back then - modern figures so often feel like stiff mannequins by comparison. I'd love to see McFarlane revisit some of these awesome Kenner concepts like NECA has been doing for some of their lines!

I have all of these except Bane and Clayface. Saw Clayface at the shop and thought he was from some other alien line. He was not on the back of the card. My Joker and Catwoman are knock off. The Penguin didn't come with the umbrella so I made him a paper one with swirl patern. Went really well with the gimick, round and round. I got dizzy from that.
