I got the same one last week... Oh my God, it looks so crazy detailed. The paint job is top notch. Did you get the multiple heads and face plates, as well as bags of "extra" parts? I'm not quite sure what to do with those or how to change his face. I've been waiting for a perfect sized devastator to go with his scale in the original transformers movie... This guy is DEFINITELY it.

@@cyklonus1 For sure. I got the extra parts as well. They include extra tracks for bonecrusher and scavenger, as well as the add-on upgrade kits for the original edition. The flat things are for long hauls feet in bot mode, in alt-mode they cover the dump truck bed. The other things clip on sides of longhaul in combined mode. They help fill out the constructors' sides. You can see them in the retail photos. The extra faces simply snap on and off. Use a spudger tool if necessary. He is a thing of beauty. Cheers!

Dude you really nail it on all of your reviews! Very entertaining. I like this version of the G1 Constructicons, but I am disappointed in the design of the head. Individually, each Constructor kicks ass and I think I would get them all just for that and store them separately because it would be hell to store such a tall figure. LOFL! Keep up the good work Emgo! =-)

Next time, get some styrofoam, break it up, spray paint it grey (just maybe 4 large chunks of it), and then toss it in from behind camera for a Devastator breaking the building effect. Just saying it could be a fun prop.

I love this set...i think your arm ratchets need a tweak as mine are so stiff i can't move them just by rotating. Arm ratchets - the end block might need resetting - one of my was loose, so i undid the screw at the end, took the block off and reset the spring and lined the grooves on the ratchets up, then re-assembled. Now, it won't move unless i pull the shoulder out from the body slightly, then rotate, and let go so it springs back in - it locks completely solid once posed. 5 mins to make the arms solid :-) For the arm connections, i angled the connector pegs upwards and the set the combiner bit at 45 degrees. Brings the shoulders upwards and inwards, makes him look great.

I'm going to get this Devastator because of the way it combines like the G1 toy, how it parts-forms so the individual robots' esthetics don't have to suffer from big chunks of the combined mode, and the overall look of this guy.

Yeah the head sculpt is basically the weakest aspect of this Devastator I think. I would have preferred less afro and a better looking face. A small complaint in the grand scale of things, though (pun intended)

I’m still not over the fact that this one guy got the entire set for dirt cheap. If I remember correctly, it was 30$ per Constructicon. Full complete set. And where’d he find it? At a freaking GOODWILL. OUT OF ALL PLACES. Like dude, it sounds too good to be true but dude took pics of it and everything. Think you can still find it floating around on facebook. Still though, how? Like...a goodwill store. Finding something like this is a straight up gem.

Toyworld Constructor is awesome. He's huge and a great representation of a MP Devastator. The individual bots are also really nice MP representations of the Constructicons. Thanks Emgo for the reviews. After your vids I jumped in on this guy(s) and am very happy with it. I thought the extra parts would bother me, but once Constructor is assembled, who cares? Though the individual bots are nice, this guy will spend 90% or more of his time combined. The only thing to like more about CW Devastator is the price. I've actually considered selling or giving my CW Devy to some kid I know, since getting TW Constructor. I appreciate that HasTak made him, but so many shortcuts make it much cheaper than the price tag would suggest. CW Devy certainly looks like a toy, while TW Constructor looks like a work of art. If HasTak ever ventures into a MP Devy, I'd bet it'll be much lighter than TW's, which might not be all that bad a thing. I'm still impressed with how well Hercules holds up after all this time. I really like how they used the arm bot treads to make the forearms. Though the set doesn't really look G1, it's a nice Classics style update and a great Devastator to have. For $600? Make room for TW Constructor. He's awesome.

Awesome review!!! Also, I agree with you on the parts forming. I dont mind having extra parts as long as they make it look good for the combine mode. Those hand/feet for the combiner wars series was really a buzz kill for me. Great review!!! Now just have to wait for gravity builder so I can make up my mind on which to get. I don't think it's fair to compare this guy to Hercules. The thing is, Herc was the first of the new wave wave of the third party phenomenon. He came out years ago. So all these companies were able to judge what worked about Herc, and what needed improvement. This guy should be better than Herc, he was able to benefit from all the advances in engineering in the last few years. Just as you wouldn't compare Masterpiece Bumblebee to G1 Bulmblebee, you can't compare these two. Anyway, we still love you. My two year old son and I watch all your videos and he loves you and he loves Mascot. So we really really really appreciate all your content. Lifting a beer to you my friend. Of course it doesn't transform as it was a hologram, but assuming perhaps Hound was capable of replicating complexity in his holograms the way Green Lantern does maybe one could imagine.

TFC's Herc does a great job of making a Devastator that's mostly partsform-free. The only partsform bits are the hands and chest bits. Funny enough, TFC had to release an "upgrade kit" to add partform addons to give it a more G1 look. Leokaiser's still neat for a G1 figure because the *only* parstforming bit would be the helmet. Kind of surprised that Herc's 600ish... I could have sworn his box set was dropped to barely 400 a few years back. That said, still fond of that Devy. Works next to the CW bots.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I think I prefer Hercules to Constructor. Don't get me wrong, this guy looks good, but it's just... ehh. His torso seems weirdly proportioned (wide shoulders but almost no real midsection) and Log Haul's torso form is awkward & gappy. And I really don't like the head sculpt.

The hand/foot guns worked as accessories on a few figures. Namely Sunstreaker and Ironhide. Sunstreaker in particular because it gave him his engine back. Other than that I do agree with you. I wish they only did that for certain figures.

The Ratchets on the arms in some cases need a replacement spring. I replace and adjust new springs them and they are perfect now!

I just pulled the trigger on this. I like the fact that this looks a lot like the g1 toy and not the toon. I just got what I'm assuming is a set and hopefully they by now fixed that piece that connects the Scrapper leg. If not a KO company will oversize it and fix the problem. Nice review! Personally, I still prefer TFC's Hercules over Constructor here. I'm biased, since I already have Hercules. To be, Constructor just seems a little too lanky for me, and his size would be an issue to store anywhere.
