Is it possible to get younger panelists on the show, or a episode where they are all student age (high school or university) and hear the opinions of the next generation themselves instead of speaking on their behalf? Food for thought. Awesome work on the series so far.

Going back to what the Fijian guy said about his discussion with the Tongan queen, yeah that's all good and true for her to say "pacific people who are highly skilled should go back to their islands and give back, that way they can connect with their people". Well maybe if the queen/monarchy created a more sustainable system in Tonga, created more opportunities for employment, created more opportunities for Tongans to stay in Tonga and not have to leave the country in search of better opportunities else where, maybe then islanders won't have this problem of an identity crisis. The Tongan monarchies selfishness and entitlement thinking is the cause of many immogrants leaving and losing their culture in the first place. I mean, it's more realistic for Samoans and fijians to stay in fiji or samoa because their countries are economically doing better than islands like Tonga but I find it hypocritical that the queen can tell islanders to give back to their country of origin but what is she doing for Tonga that stops Tongan from leaving Tonga in the first place? Discuss.

We should reconnect each other as a very big family down to our root in Taiwan, as Austronesian people. From a guy from Java island, who interested in learning about Austronesian people after knowing we are connected at least from our language that resemble similarities each other.

Cocos island can be consider pacific islander?

Austronesian is too broad of a term. Not all Pacific Islanders are Austronesian. Are you Filipino by any chance 😂😂😂😂😂
@Jeda5479 Жыл бұрын
@@chewy6487 White people is also broad term. From pale Nordic people until black Arab Egyptian. At least Austronesian people are connected by the language and some cultural and technology similarities, mostly maritime technology. And if you ask where I am from, I mentioned it already, just broaden your knowledge you will know it.

I'm grew up in Florida. My biological father was full blood polynesian. Moved from Hawaii to lima, peru. I'm thinking about looking for biological parents. What i like about polynesian people is they help each other out and good family values.
