Problem is not in the AP itself, You need to understand that there is a reciver and transmitter, on both sides, so if the AP ist good and can go 200Meters that doesen mean that Your Selfphone or Laptop can go 200Meters. Im pretty sure that the Antena cah do that but the Selfphone or Laptop not ;)

If I understand this correctly, if I want to add two or three of these access points, the only change would be connecting them thru a POE switch. Is that correct?

I just watched the video. I was also hoping for a reasonable speed of connection 50m from the EAP but it didnt achieve that . Have you got any suggestions for a good quality and easy to configure wifi extender solution to a garden outbuilding ? I need to connect and manage a solar power inverter and battery via wifi

Wired = access point, wireless = repeater. This product have the two modes

I’ve had these working for many years. They were plugged into the back of my router and were run through the router and came up with that name for Wi-Fi. Now the rotors give me problems and it’s coming up is TP link and I have no security on them and I can’t remember my password a friend help me mini years ago set it up is it hard to re-set

Can it act as a receiver (client) ? I want to place it outside in my cottage and receive wifi from a restaurant (offcouse the owner is in agreement) ? Also, will I be able to change the name of the new network ? If I get the signal will it act as a router or do I have to plug it to another router ?? Can you recommend a better one perhaps ?

I can't recommend this EAP the speed you get from this thing is almost a 6th of what's advertised around 50 Mbps, even if you stand directly next to it... in 50m you only get around 14-17 Mbps so yeah pretty underwhelming.
