What you said from 2:32 to 2:38 was EXACTLY what i needed to hear for the TL-SG105 model. Ive never actually mounted a awotch before- just an older AC router WITH the feet on. Thank you!

You did blur out the numbers on the serial number. But, around 2:09 you clearly show the barcode. Which is very easy to translate. Just wanted to give you a heads-up.

I bought one of these and it dropped my internet speed by 40% . Via connect via the switch . Direct connection to the router using the same cable. Got me back to pretty much 100% . Switched back to my old setup. Using a old router and a switch and again 100% .

I bought a Google Wi-Fi router recently that gave me actual headaches. So I just went with wired router and separate switch.

Thats out of my area of expertise... Best to consult your local computer store. I don't have experiences with VLANS

My response is obviously too late but if anyone comes accross this: For VLANs you need a MANAGED switch (this one is unmanaged). Only managed switches can be configured, unmanaged switches are only for if you need more ports.

How many gigabytes per second is each switch?
@paulvorderegger1522
@paulvorderegger1522 2 жыл бұрын
What donyou mean eith each switch? The whole thing is one switch. The switch is 1 or 2 Gbps (which is one or two gigabit per second, network and internet speeds are never measured in bytes, but in bits.

This doesn't not have PoE (power over Ethernet) so each of those cameras would need their own individual power supply. Or you can get the version of this that has PoE built in.

He says 1gigabit but doesn’t this switch go up to 8gigabit?
@jcunboxing
@jcunboxing 3 жыл бұрын
It's a 1 gigabit per port. It's 8 ports yes, but each port is still limited to 1 gigabit, it does not aggregate.
@lemmensalex1
@lemmensalex1 4 жыл бұрын
It does not split the signal. It is not a splitter like for example a DSL splitter. It distributes datapackets (frames) from and to devices using the mac adresses of devices in your LAN. So it's a networkdevice working at layer 2 of the OSI model. Please use correct information next time.
