I was struggling like hell with these events a few days ago with my BMW M3, the RUFs I was racing were glued to the track through every corner which I thought was rubberbanding, however the real cause was me being a dumbass and using the wrong compound tyres XD As soon as I put on the soft racing tyre I knew how much of a cake walk it was going to be by seeing how my A-Spec points earning plummeted to 9 XD

For people trying to play GranTurismo 4 on PS3... You can play it on the PS3 Original 60gb and 20gb “Fat” models. Only on disc. You can’t play it on slim models.

I remember when i was on this event with my modified Buick Special '62 that i brought by transferring my GT3 progress, but when i came to the second race in Fuji Speedway 90's, the red clock stays forever and this happened in the fifth test in National A License which is 1-Lap Guide Run Grand Valley East. At 18 of August of the previous year (2019), the game died because when i insert the game disc in my PS2, the game won't work and i sent to the Memory Card and Disc menu and the disc displays "DVD Image". I clicked it and the game sent back to the same menu screen. I cleaned the disc, but the game still won't work. The worst part is because the game disc broke in 22 of February 2013 when i tried to clean the disc with my leg because i sended to the red screen of death and i didn't played until 28 of July of the previous year (six years ago). After six years of absence of GT4, my parents buyed the game, but when i tested the game, the game won't run well, but i can race in some tracks such as El Capitan, Clubman Stage Route 5, Tsukuba Circuit, Motorland or Seoul Central. Those tracks loads well to start while some tracks takes very long to start the race such as High Speed Ring, Twin Ring Motegi (Both the West, East and Road Course) or Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and some tracks stays forever spinning the red clock causing those tracks unplayable such as Grand Valley (both East and Speedway) and Fuji Speedway (Both the 90's, the 80's, the 2005 and 2005 GT). As said above, the game died at 18 of August of the same year which means three weeks ago that endured the game before dying and i didn't played the game almost one year ago since the last time played and the fact that a game that i didn't played lots of years ago which is your favourite and finally parents purchasing your favourite game only to find that game won't work well and dying in few days or weeks it's extremely hurtful.

probably its caused by the lens drive which can be fixed by sending to a service store that can replace the drive with a newer one allowing to play the game completely without issues or installing a modchip such as matrix infinity or toxic chip to burn and play ps2 copy games and for me my copy of gt4 still works despite its minor scratches loads perfectly well all the tracks without issues at all

If you have a ps2 slim look for laser potentiometer adjustment. Before the fix I had a perfectly working gt4 but my ps2 wouldn't even start it.
