Hi, you make useful videos for all Hummer owners. Many of them, like me, do not understand English very well. If it's not difficult, please add a slide with a list of sequential actions. So, that in a freeze frame, people like me would have the opportunity to repeat this on their car. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much 🤓 I will add a list of actions into the video description for the videos I've already made and will be sure to add a freeze frame in my future videos. I really appreciate your suggestions!

Will give this a try, thank you. Side note what brand did you use for your fuel door cover? I see so many out there and don’t know which one to go with. Always prefer a recommendation … thanks in advance!

Let me know how your TPMS relearn turns out! I believe the fuel door on my H3 is the OEM cover with the adventure and luxury packages. I did a quick search on Amazon and couldn't find an OEM one to recommend. If you decide on an aftermarket option, please update me on how you like it!

@@H3Humperwas able to get into the reset mode. First attempt I couldn’t get any of the wheels to beep. Second attempt I got response from driver rear and passenger front. So I think the other two may have bad sensors. Thanks for the other info, I’ll see what I can find and if I do find something that’s good quality I’ll share what I purchased.

Great video. Does this work for completely new sensors as well? I just followed your other video and replaced all of my sensors with new ones (I have an 07 and they were all very dead). I just want to make sure that this process will work for completely new sensors that have never been on the truck before.
@H3Humper3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, this process works with completely new sensors (as long as they are 315hz sensors, like the factory originals). Happy to hear you've got them all replaced! Let me know how the relearn goes. I had to drive around for a few minutes before the light went away after the relearn, which is normal.

I see that you have the ScanGuage2 display unit on your H3... how do you set that for a 5 cylinder engine ? Thanks !
@H3Humper3 жыл бұрын
Hello there, the ScanGauge II is great! It is plug and play, ready to use. I mounted mine with command strips on the steering column, and I added an extra format to it to display transmission temp.

@@H3Humper I've had my ScanGuage2 for a few years. 1st. on my 2002 VW Jetta Diesel 4 cylinder TDI, then on my 1998 Mercedes Benz 300D OM606 engine 6 cylinder diesel engine...I had to reset the parameters for the 4 cylinder to a 6 cylinder engine when I switched from one car to the other...but there is No Option for a 5 cylinder engine.... That is my point ! Thanks for the reply !

@@Snailmailtrucker interesting! I swapped mine from my old 4 cylinder Sonoma and don't remember changing cylinder number on it. I'll try to see if I can find anything when I'm out there next, sorry!

@@Snailmailtrucker Sorry for misunderstanding your initial question. I went out and looked at my settings and didn't find any for cylinder number, just engine displacement (which I have set to 3.7L). Does yours show cylinder number somewhere in the settings?
@Snailmailtrucker3 жыл бұрын
@@H3HumperI thought that my ScanGauge2 asker how many cylinders the engine had...but, I just went out and checked and it only asks the engine size.. and yes, it his compatible with my new 2006 H3 3.5 (I sent ScanGauge an email asking them and they replied that is does work with my new 06 H3 3.5 manual 5 speed trans). *MERRY CHRISTMAS !*

Do you also have to do it to the spare? I know it has a sensor as well.
@H3Humper Жыл бұрын
Hey there! I did not include a spare in my process (on my 2006). I am unsure if other years require the spare, but I would imagine they do not require the spare. Let me know what you find out!

I remembered when I did that relearn method back when I was working in a quick-lube shop. There was a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 whose tires were rotated but never relearned. For that truck, I had to hold both Lock and Unlock buttons simultaneously until the horn honks. From there, I had start from the left-front to the left-rear in a clockwise position using nothing more than a tire inflator. Nowadays, that feature no longer exists after 2011. Especially when the majority of cars require an activation tool to activate TPMS sensors. Otherwise, good tutorial.
