I remember spending hours with my friends following weird paths with Squall so that the rest of the team had to follow doing the same movements. Life was much simpler back then I guess.

Thank you so much for this. Final Fantasy VIII is an exceptional game that will forever have a special place in my heart. There's just something about the way it portrays its characters' fears and issues that makes it so incredibly genuine and profound. I never experienced a game again where I felt this way, and I'm forever grateful to have been able to experience it in my teens when I could actually relate to it. As much as many people disliked Squall, I think he was a perfect lead for the theme of the series and portrays the insecurities of many introverted teenagers quite well, as obnoxious as this behavior may appear. You really managed to capture the soul of the game with your compositions, while adding a melancholic tone to every song that makes it distinct from the original songs in a way perfectly suited for reminiscing. I literally have tears in my eyes while "Tell Me" is playing. It was kind of a key scene for me in the game, since back then it was the first time I saw a game showing fragile characters who actually talk about their problems, and immediately put it to no.1 of my favorite games. Same with the Balamb Garden theme as a peaceful tune while you can just be a student reading blackboard entries, Ami re-using the general musical patterns for a profound memory discovery, and so on. Your music pulls those memories out again in a way that I can relive the emotions, and it's an exceptional experience. Also kudos for putting the actual scenes into this video, I actually discovered this album on Spotify and seeing the scenes on top of it now really adds power to it and shows that this album is more than just leeching off a license without knowing the source and meaning. Some compositions like "Blue Fields" were also surprisingly different from the original and blew me away with the new vibe they give off while still staying true to the original. Is there any way to purchase the music DRM free? I'm afraid it will be something I won't be listening to too much since I don't want the impact to disappear, so I doubt my Spotify hits will help much.

I feel exactly the same as you do for VIII. More than a quest to defeat a monster or an evil, I always regarded VIII as a coming of age story of this boy who pretends to be cold and emotionless, but who battles demons of loneliness and abandonment and who, ultimately, allows the fear of loss to rule his life. In the end, he must conquer that fear and learn how to be vulnerable exactly to become strong enough to become a leader. I played it when I was 14 and it quite resonated with me. I guess it still does. Oh, yeah, and it probably has the best soundtrack in every FF, although all of them hold a special place in my heart.

This game was one of the first games that I played by myself. All there was was me in my room I didn’t have many friends but it was ok Ff8 and FF9 were there and the adventures I got to go on we awesome. Just hearing eyes on you (love grows) it’s just something that makes me feel like a kid again and makes me remember the good times back before life got really hard. However these games I still play them and I am able to be happy again for a at least some amount of time

CROSS OST hands down, one of the greastest. The game is awesome, for true fans, cause it really showcases the fact SCHALA is the main character of the whole series, but the game doesn't sit well, with people that don't know the whole lore of the CHRONO.. Fact Lavos, Time Devour and Schala are bonded together, chrono break would had resolved her story, but it will never be, as my sukioden 6 will never be................................... ........................................... ....................................................................................................
