I remember laying laying down the controller to listen to the marvelous soundtrack to FFX while playing it on the PS2. By that time - after playing FF games up to that point - I figured it out that the games were amazing for their soundtracks as much as anything else (and there's much to be amazed at beyond the music). But I couldn't help getting lost in that wonderful world. I made a mix CD shortly afterwards to enjoy. FFX has aged well. Its a great game in a tradition of great ones.

That's the feeling for Final Fantasy, no doubt! My stepfather bought this game for me a few months after my mom died and this game definitely helped me to get through. One of the best games I ever played and the fact that it deals with themes like death and coming back from the dead or not even being real at all really struck a cord.

Your take on Besaid just blew me away. That song has always meant so much to me. I remember coming home with that game and flipping through the manual before putting it in the ps2 to play. My mom asked me why. I told her that I was just kind of soaking it all in. Final Fantasy meant something back then, and I was old enough to realize things didn't last forever and young enough to still enjoy it like a kid. I remember getting to Besaid early on and just pressing pause and letting this song wave over me. Instant nostalgic trip.

I remember sitting in college freaking out for my finals as a junior in 2014 and I would always wonder if I would make it in life and be successful as I was a single dad and everyone thought of me as a failure. I was indian and my son was half Asian. I was the black sheep in the community. That’s when I stumbled upon your music. I would listen to this tribute religiously while I studied for my finals. Every day I would go to classes and right after hit the library and play this tribute loud in my study room while i practiced calculus, coding, engineering physics all of it. I was never smart i failed the math Taks test (Texas standardized test) every year from 5-11 grade. I wasn’t special, I did so much stupid shit it all caught up to me. Now Fast forward it’s 2019 I’m 25 and I work as a computer engineer, I have fully custody of my son and I couldn’t be more grateful about life. listening to this same tribute. Thank you for creating this music it helped me overcome a lot of things in life and here I am today coding and doing spreadsheets and listening to this beautiful tribute. Long story short don’t ever give up in life. We all go through so much and a lot of people don’t know our stories but, if we keep pushing forward and change your mindset the world will bend to your will. I’m in tears because I’m so thankful. There is something about the stories in these games, the places and the environments in these game, there is something about the characters in these games that are basically more than what it is taken to be as. These were never just games there is more to all of these games of great potential such as FFX and FFVII, I am telling you people there is a reason why we are so very attracted to these “games” in such a strong way, there is a deep reason why they resonate with us, something related to us on both the soul level and the human level. Same goes for great franchises like LOTR. These aren’t just stories, it’s not just fantasy and it never was. it’s just that these stories tell of a world/time where Manna was more abundant and the inhabitants were more connected to spirit. I believe that the soul is represented by the heart and the heart doesn’t lie, I believe these things were actually real or they will be in the future, yet again what is the future and the past anyways ? Regardless, there I said it, that they were never just stories, they were always related to that which has depth and meaning, it’s for that reason that we “the gamers” actually get mad when the producers/ writers start screwing up the story, it’s because we don’t want the story to be hijacked and ruined liked many other things have been before. We cherish them because they resonate with us and they resonate with us because we cherish them. With all if that being said I almost forgot to thank the great producer of this beautiful mix of tracks, thank you so much 🤍 I love it.

there was a lot of time in my life where i was just scared of either finals or what to do in my life. Im now in sec year of college. i was playing this game since i know myself. my brother used to play while i was sitting next to him and watch him play. we are not really now in good terms and even tho i love him he seems to be far away from me. im trying to keep in contact and always give him informations about myself, how was my day or how many times ive played this game or Kingdom Hearts. hes not the same brother I used to know and we are not that close like we were 12 years ago. It hurts just how much im holding this game so deep in my heart and yet he seems to not really care. This game always makes me cry not only because of the wholesome storyline and music, but also cuz this game created my entire childhood together with Kingdom Hearts. Its so dear to me cuz im trying so hard to keep my memories of me and my brother since we went through sum big troubles back then and there were not really a lot of positive memories of my past, but im keeping it so that maybe one day he will be here with me just like he was 12 years ago. Me and my twin sister still play this game and its been probably our 60th gameplay or even more im not really sure. but no matter how many times we played this game, the feelings never really changed and we adore every part of the game. Now that im in college im in a lot of pressure but the ffx music always keeps me calm and i hope maybe one day i will as well make a game or a story that will strike someones heart as well and would hold that deep in their heart just like i did for this game.

im so used to the battle theme being all energetic, sped up and a "LETS KILL SIN!" kind of song. But the way you slowed it down, made it your own and just put it in a new, different angle/perspective really makes me have a bunch of respect for you. it's too gorgeous and I actually think I prefer the way you arranged it to the original because yours has a lot of emotion and heart to it, not saying the other one doesn't. I've never played the games, but these songs have such a beautiful, melancholy feel to them overall. It might be that soothing piano making me biased, but there's something about this music that tugs on my heartstrings and lets me stare outwards to horizons already crossed. Distant and personal, unfocused and surreal. It's hard to capture such emotion except in a musical medium, and harder still to capture it so profoundly. Thank you for this.
