I serve him almost twice a week at my job. He always gets the same thing, I got his order down, ha ha!! He's a great guy, he listens to my crap and remembers it still when he comes in the next day. Very intresting person, and very caring

WOW! Shotgun has mellowed a bit but STILL has that boss on-air delivery. I have somewhere, buried in boxes of airchecks from back in the day, one of Shotgun's airchecks from KCBQ, cirica 1974 or 5. All through his shift he was teasing his audience about some kind of dynamite blast project going on he had seen alongside the mountain roads on the way to the station.

I think management at SeriusXM 60sGold had him tone down delivery to be more conversational and not so "hot" in his delivery. I prefer the hot delivery like here.

Shotgun has captured the BOSS JOCK sound of KHJ BOSS RADIO of the 1960's ! When I close my eyes , I could swear I'm back in 1965 listening to KHJ BOSS RADIO cuz Shotgun is THAT good !!!! Some say that SHOTGUN was MACHINE GUN KELLY back then !!!! Any truth to that rumor ???? TINA DELGADO IS ALIVE !!!!!!

You are an interesting young man. I am searching for the name of a DJ who would have been on the air in 1972 in San Diego. He was hilarious and did skits that included The Green Hairnet and fake interviews with famous people. He did both parts when he did these presentations. Do you know who he is? BTW you are a great DJ.

I was reading a Buzz Burbank Interview at Hobo Trashcan and Buzz mentioned he had worked with Shotgun Tom Kelly, and I came here to remember the man from those days when San Diego radio would drift north into Orange County... Its good to know he's still around but he sounds a bit more sedate than I remember... Then again we've both aged 30 years and you say the same thing about both of us... Good health to you and a long carrier.
