In this instance I believe more water would have been better for movment of clothes in the tub. Autofill is not always the best option. Good job though, Still far and beyond better than any top loading whirlpool corporation washer, besides of course the Maytag Commercial machine which shreds clothes.

I shot another video of this load with the same cycle except for turning off the auto fill and selecting extra rinse. It should post tonight. I fell asleep last night before rendering the video.

@PinkPower4 That was a very well stated reply. I should not have said it shreds clothing, but rather is not as gentle as others. I wish the maytag had a water level selector as well as the balance and spin speeds like the SQ does. The SQ is simply a master at balancing and spinning loads with the industrial metal componints. I agree fully that the Maytag Commercial is better at cleaning. You would be a fool not to notice that, but I also know the SQ is also very good. Appliances are not built to last like they were 25 years ago, and what a shame that is. Greed has forced the use of all plastic and limited metal components and it has ruined the industry's main stream brands such as Whirlpool, Maytag, GE you name it. LG is ok for front loading washers and probably the best on the market, but the top loading units clean poorly and are frankly a joke. The clothes just sit there and barely move if you put in a large load. I'm glad we have a few (very few) good options such as these two washers to choose from. Cheers. It did better, the extra rinse allowed it to do a deep rinse and a spray rinse.

PinkPower4 Very well said you covered all the bases. I just purchased a reconditioned 10-year-old Kenmore Toploader with the dual action agitator my first I’m amazed at how the clothes move through the water and how clean and fresh everything came out. If I had to make a choice between the Maytag and the Speed Queen it would be a tough decision to make. Speed Queen I believe in every sense, will outlast the Maytag, even though it is a commercial built machine but the Maytag has remarkable cleaning ability and as you said has that dual action agitator.

Since you added two towels it actually added a little more water, again proving that the auto fill on this machine is the best there is on the market today.

Like the fill and spray rinse and not the wasted balancing time but not sure about the agitators looks like a wool cicle and not cotton

Thanks for marking the agitator, 3/4 and 1&1/2 turns, gentle, not too fast. Very quiet motor too. Looks good SQ.

I would have thought it would have been better to remove the agitator altogether and put baffles in the wall of the drum. This appears pretty wishy-washy at best.

Yeah like a fixed wash plate on the Botton and some paddles on the side and it would was a lot better

That spray rinse only gets about 75% of the clothes. Pretty ineffective if you ask me.

Yea, I was never that impressed with the spray rinse on the normal eco cycle, even on the older models, but what are you gonna do.
