I noticed you have your door open. How can I make mine operate with the door opened. Does it have anything to do with your being set on Heavy Duty, and I normally set ours on Normal ECO?

The wash cycle may have taken long but I think it performed very well overall
@ralphcantrell3214 Жыл бұрын
Well, I will find out how long it takes and how well it cleans our clothes soon enough, because a week ago, after our 3rd washer had tapped out in 15 years, I walked into the appliance store, told them I wanted the simplest, least expensive and easiest to operate Speed Queen I could buy, and 2 days later this one was delivered to my house. So far so good. The clothes have been clean and fresh smelling. I have only used the "NORMAL (ECO)" cycle on the large load setting (because I always stuff it full).

If you don't have heavy soiled garments I mean very heavy like ground in dirt, combined with sweat, and maybe food stains or blood this washer is fine. If you have very soiled clothes I think it would still do a good job but with the aid of pre-wash chemical aids.

Speed Queen's 1&1/2 and 3/4 turns beat most other agitators. We had the older SQ agitator for many years, and now the TR3, both do very well. We had RCA Whirlpool, Kenmore, real Maytag, Magic Chef, Roper, and Frigidaire Unimatic through the past, and SQ beats them all. We had ME SQ, Amana SQ, ane Alliance SQs. Those who rag on the TR series are full of bull, what do they think is better, Maytag commercial? pfffft

@@DylBuilder1 I don't own a new SQ of any model. I continue to purchase older models used after my original purchase Amana TL (SQ clone) finally died after 31 years! Being many people upgrade washers for many reasons. I have been very happy with older 1990's Amana top load washers which are basically a SQ design with some slight changes but mostly branding. I picked up a nice 1st used replacement two years ago in excellent condition for $125. Going strong and cleaning very well. I guess if I wanted to go new, I would look at either a new front loaders. SQ front loader as my first choice then the new GE models with ventilation and Micoband, 2nd, followed by LG Turbo Wash.

It did a great job, this is an extremely well built washer that will give many years of trouble free service. This “heavy soil” cycle would be for extremely dirty items otherwise the regular heavy duty cycle is just fine.

Try this heavy soil setting on heavy duty on blood stained dark colors with tide hygienic clean power pods original with downy april fresh in the softener dispenser.

Simply follow SQ instructions, PUT THE SOAP IN FIRST before liading clothes, it really matters.

Leave all doors open when not washing on top and side washing machines and you won't have mold or bad smells

Throughout the video I was thinking what you said in your summation. I’d like to see the extended wash cycle on Heavy Duty in a muddy jeans test to see if it yields improved results over the original TR3 series because HE detergents are formulated to remain active over a longer wash cycle than detergents had been formulated to be at maximum activity prior to HE formulations. I think that this third series will deliver better results. I think that eventually Speed Queen might make minor developments to the machine’s programs and tub movements. I also think that they might redesign the center post non agitator and might possibly find need to improve some components but I think that in that these machines haven’t transmissions it’s possible that almost all TR7s will last their projected 25 years and that it won’t be unusual for well cared for TR3 and TR5s to last up to 40 years in many homes.
@FMichael19703 жыл бұрын
From what I recall these newer TR models (compared to what they had a few years ago) appear to have a bit more aggressive agitation thus better wash results. Still the TC5 series is the King.
@Mandy_393 жыл бұрын
How do warranties work if you buy it online from a different state? Is it the same as if you went in your local dealer & bought it from then? NO local stores have the TC5. It's this TR3, Maytag Commercial or back to the research boards 😭
@rosesewquiet3 жыл бұрын
Why can't they come up with a wash cycle like the old Maytag they made with the roller, I mean how hard is that to do. I would like to see a machine wash where it dragged the clothes down and then back up. Those machines are worth their money in gold. This machine barely moves, I'm really tired of these machines costing so much and do NOTHING!!! When will you people wake up and give the consumer a machine that does the job, just a plain old machine that gets the clothes clean, nothing compares to the older models of years gone by, they are all a piece of crap!!!

What was the full cycle time for heavy duty / Heavy soil? 105?

The clothes still don’t turn over … they simply go for a swim.
@umajunkcollector Жыл бұрын
It agitates, a bit gentle, but mives the clothes through the water better than others. Turn over just ties clothes in knots. We like our TR3, no regrets.

Coming from a Roper washing machine with basic controls can you tell me what would be close to the Roper for a good replacement? I tried a Whirlpool with all the high tech HE model and returned it. How can they call it High Efficiency when it takes an hour or more to wash. I just want to wash my clothes and not babysit the dang thing.

I purchased one of these washers in Aug of 2018. It is constantly out of balance. And 2 months after the 3 year warranty expired the tub seal started leaking. I do not recommend this machine. Stick with the classic TC5 if you will purchase a SpeedQueen.

Looks like it has no balls. I was considering the Speed Queen TR3000WN but I'm guessing it will be similar. At least it continues to operate with the door open unless you bypassed the door safety? Thats another one of my pet peeve with all the new washers, weak pathetic agitation, stupid safety doors, and computer modules that cost slightly less than a whole new machine. Very aggravating with all these planned obsolescence appliances.
@cynthiadegroot3391 Жыл бұрын
We bought the TR3003WN and my clothes smell nasty when they come out, not smelling clean at all. It is not the laundry detergent because we have tried a couple of different brands in order to correct this. I notice some dirt that did not wash out of clothes as it should have and even after drying them, the clothes stink! I put off doing laundry because of this. No more fresh smelling clothes that can be so satisfying after washing. So disappointed because this was one expensive machine! Now I feel we're stuck with it.
