The nursery looks so sweet and cozy!💙 I’d put some Scriptures above his crib, maybe in a decal, or framed nicely. Decals don’t have the possibility of falling onto the baby and there’s a lot of really nice looking ones out there, especially with beautiful Scriptures. I’d also add a small light over by your chair to have for night feedings and when you’re putting him to sleep. Plus I’d either return my one big curtain or cut it in half and sew it into two panels. Just some suggestions, it all really looks great as is! Blessings to y’all as you are counting down the days until Ryker is in your arms, it’s coming up so fast!

A small light by the chair to use when you feed the baby. Not enough to wake them up but enough to see what’s before you. Love the crib!

You actually want to wake them up, because feeding them always lulls them back to sleep and they need to eat enough so they are consistently gaining weight. When breastfeeding my babies, I always had to change their diaper or take off their Jammie’s between sides, because they would want to sleep when they actually needed to eat 🤗

@donnacoker7716 not necessarily. I breastfed four babies and never woke them. Their “dream feeding” was more than enough. All four were always 90-99th percentile on their growth charts

I would get a light weight Ryker name sign to put above the crib. It would be cool if it lit up ( softly) so you could use it as a night light, when do 2 am feedings!!! Super adorable!!

There are supposed to be special bags for the diaper pail, well usually there are special bags. The room looks good!! 😊

My suggestion for above the crib is to simply paint either some polka dots or stripes or get some type of wall sticker that can be removed. You could also paint his name on the wall above the crib in a color to match your other color scheme. I always get nervous when people hang something above the crib in case it should fall. Will you use a sound machine? Also perhaps a floor type lamp that you could have by your chair for reading or just a night light of some sort. The room looks so cute. Great job pulling it all together!!

When you get his newborn photos done, hang some prints over the crib. Of course, high enough he can’t reach them when standing and very secure on the wall. Congratulations on baby Ryker!🍼😊

I have been in to interior design for years, & your nursery is beautiful. The one thing I would definitely put above the crib is a mirror, to give the illusion that the room is way larger than it is. Many ways to anchor it safely! Love it

Love it 💚💙 The wall above his crib needs a name display with a splash of color (green, browns, and blue maybe) and then maybe some pictures if it’s not big enough. If you do it a little smaller you can add a second beside it later down the line for the next baby

Your nursery looks nice! May I suggest pushing the curtain panel to the wall (where the dresser is). It will visually make the room larger rather than cut in 1/2 when keeping it in the middle of the window.

Yes, and bring the curtain rod to the ceiling. (You may need to buy longer curtains.) Bonus tip: buy 4 panels, 2 for each side. Doing all of this will make that room pitch dark at night! You block out light from all sides. And it’ll really make the room look cozy :)

You have created a beautiful nursery! Idea for the wall: perhaps three large illustrations, for example in the theme of the baby shower? On Etsy, they often have very cute illustrations like a surfing giraffe, or animals in a Volkswagen van.

It would be cute to put the baby's name above the crib. You can actually get large letter stickers that go on walls. There are all types of fonts and colors. That way it won't be too heavy above the crib.

Nursery is cute. I think a light in the room on top of the book shelf or behind the chair for nighttime feeding. Baby usually sleeps in your room for a few months.

I would put a small, dimness light over the chair so when your feeding Riker, changing him. With a dimness light it won't wake him up like a bright one. The nursery is so cute!! Any little boy would love to have a room like the one you designed for him. I love the soft colors.

Lots of the toys could be stored in baskets in the living room. Toys for much older could be stored in the shed. A small lamp on top of the shelves under the window for night time feedings would be nice. Some bold animal pictures on the wall above his crib or his name in bold primary colors would break up the neutral a bit. Don’t forget a baby monitor. There is one called lollipop that you can bend the “stick” portion to wrap around a crib rail, book shelf on the wall etc. it pairs with your phone. Such a lovely nursery in a just-right size room.

Take pictures of things in nature or outdoors architecture that naturally are shapes of letters in alphabet to spell out his name. Or create your own art on 3 or so 8x8 canvasses. There's always wall decals that are peel and stick that can easily come off no affect to the wall and are inexpensive. Like a cute character or animals for little bits of color pops to the room. Looks great!

The nursery is perfect! I love how you have natural elements and the soft sage color. I’m so excited for y’all! If you put a dust ruffle around the crib you could put things under there in nice storage boxes. That will work for a good while. You could just do Rykers initials on the wall above his crib. RBC? Maybe in the natural wood like the shelves and crib.

We used a mini crib at first too due to space! A great thing is that the mattress also fits perfectly in most pack n plays so for trips and such it’s so nice to have a safe comfy mattress :)

I love Baby Ryker's nursery 💙 I would put some type of prints above the crib; Hobby Lobby has adorable prints. I would also make plenty of room for diapers and wipes near the changing table so that they are close by when needed.

I would put one of those small round push lights under one of the bookshelves by the chair. Anything you put above the bed you don't want it to be where he can reach it or it be to heavy it could fall. I always went for the peel & cling decorations you can constantly change it out every few weeks so he doesn't get bored looking at the same thing.

I used a mini crib for two of my three kids and loved it. You need a small lamp and a skinny table that can slide under the edge of the chair. He also needs a painting or two or his name.

My daughter did a simple wooden hoop for my grandson's nursery above the crib that had some basic greenery or ribbon decorating it, well as his name in a wooden cut-out attached inside the circle I believe.

Light by the chair is a great idea. They have ones that mount on the wall that are really sweet. I would put photos or sweet animal pics or similar. Baby Sheep, horses and/or cows, etc.

I have never seen such a tiny crib. It does fit good in that small room. The baby will outgrow that crib before you know it. Baby grows fast the first year.
