I'm a 40 yr old African American female who's always worn her hair straight and been guilty of using the typical dangerous methods from relaxers to hot Combs to flat irons ,however I'm slowly looking for different methods of protecting my hair whether it's wearing bonnets or wearing librarian buns all year long so any suggestions would be welcomed thank you.

Black women ? There is no such thing. It's said that we keep using these labels here in America. They are so out dated and old. Africans never referred themselves as Black. Why ? Because English is not there native language.

K K Yes it does! It also happens when you're a 37 year old wife and momma of 3! I just ignore the haters these days when their remarks and opinions are directed toward me. However, my middle schooler is really going through a tough time right now with one of her "friends". It's ripping my heart out. I've begged my daughter to distance herself from this troubled bratty bully but she can't seem to pull away because they play ball together year round and they have so many classes together, etc...Plus they went to elementary together. I've tried everything. My kid is bullied on a weekly basis by this other girl and I've talked to the girls nana(the one who is raising her)about it but nothing changes. I'm about to go psycho mom on them.

MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS both now 10 and 7 in a half & My HANDSOME SON, 6 have been getting bullied ever since I Can Remember and it has CONTINUED to """"""""""HURT myself and MY DAUGHTERS to Pieces seeing them Hurt basically Everyday coming Home from School it literally Continued to Bring tears not only to My Daughters eyes but also to mine. """"""""Figuritively speaking """"""""I Can Say I LIVED at their School I was there So much Trying to Find a Solution to My Children's Issue. Instead of the school Faculty finding a solution to My Daughters bullying problems they tried to Convince My Children and Myself that it was all in their minds that they was making Everything up just to Cover Everything up so Everyone Can make it Appear the most BEST and PERFECT Charter school with the best Teachers and Staff , which was Not the Case at all""!!!!!!!!! One of My Daughters Bullying was so Bad that even the old bus driver was trying to Bully My Daughters which I Confronted him and he did not deny it to my surprise. I just couldn't Take it things just have gotten Way too Far. """"""""""""""IT STILL HURTS TO SEE MY KIDS HURT as I was a 31 yr. Old Parent. """""""""""I FEEL EVERYONE'S KIDS PAIN. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FELT like the teachers was just keep sweeping it under the rug all the time why reason # 1 it wasn't there actually own children that was getting bullied and some of the teachers acted like they was jealous of my whole FAMILY . I then Transferred MY CHILDREN to another school in Attempt to STOP the BULLYING and once again I figured out that one of her teachers didn't seem to like me and My Daughters once again because of she was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY JEALOUS of """"""""""MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY"""", So that teacher took it upon herself to help Spread a Rumor to basically the whole school that My Daughter had hair lice which she did NOT NEVER have in a Attempt to Majorly Humiliate My Daughter and Myself as a Mother. When I Confronted her and the Falculty about it I told them to show me lice in My Daughters hair as we both thoughrully combed through her hair We didn't find a thing I even took it upon Myself to take My Daughter out of school straight to the doctors for them to ReConfirm she did NOT NEVER have lice in the first place and they wrote her a school note Stating that. As I Explained My Daughters Bullying situation to the doctors they were BEYOND UPSET about it. They FELT EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY SORRY for Both of My Daughters and they told me that I should get a lice treatment in My Daughter's hair any way just so they won't try to spread a Horrible Rumor like that again and I didn't want to do it but I did anyway as a precaution and to Kill the rumor and My Daughter said """""""''MOMMY, WHY are you putting that lice treatment in my hair the Doctors even said I DON'T have lice and I Started Crying and Hugging My Daughter and I Reassured her that I had to do it so she Can be able to go to school again!!!!!!!!!!! Well That is My Daughter's Bullying Story. I Really Hope they Both CONTINUE TO INSPIRE"""""""""" MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of PERSONS WORLD-WIDE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @@MrAlvin555 Wendy is about negativity, judging people, promoting materialistic lifestyle, obsessing over looks, clothes, perceptions, etc. She even made fun of Kelly's body as she isn't the typical celeb. Kelly is about music, positivity, community, and the human spirit. Big difference.
