idina was in the original cast with fredi walker. traci was only joanne in the movie and when the movie was done, she moved onto broadway. :-D

I am really excited for Tracie, knowing that she was a Renthead and now she gets to fulfill her dream for the second time. I thought she was pretty amazing in the movie, and all the live performances I've heard. That is a good point, though I would prefer it if they closed with the original cast, even knowing the state of Daphne's voice. It'd be like closing a chapter in their lives, as well. But I suppose there's still hope for EVERYONE reuniting for the '09 tour, not just Anthony and Adam.

while i agree that that'd be amazing if they were to come back, i think it's wonderful that tracie is able to play a role that she's dreamt about playing on broadway since she saw the show. same for eden, i think it's better to end the show with new people and new life. i like that they're giving new people the chance to relay Jonathan Larson's original message to new and old fans alike. but that's just my opinion.

lonbonnow, thanks for clarifying that for sakuraleex3. shoshana is a pretty name. i know a few shoshanas. thanks again. to everyone, that doesn't look a lot like tracie but it sounds like her. also, eden has a great voice but she is singing in a way that she can damage it, like the "throughty" sounding noises. she is great and doesn't sound so great here, she is making her voice sound rough.

Eden has a really lovely voice. And she's good. :-) She's not as Sexy as Idina Menzel! And I think her Maureen is a little too "serious" perhaps? Like @ the beginning of this song she acts all argumentative but I like it when at first it's all a little bit of a joke to Maureen... I love Tracie man! She's got such presence and she's so good! Her and Idina had this AMAZING Chemistry! WHO REMEMBERS THE BIT AT THE POOL TABLE!?! But Eden impressed me.

I don't think so at all. I've met her on numerous occasions and to this day I think she is the sweetedt of all the performers I have met. As someone said, she's a very reserved person. Not a diva, just reserved.

I don't really like Eden in Wicked, I prefer her as Maureen. It just makes sense. For me, at least. Nothing to do with this, but what kind of name is Shoshana anyway? Nothing against her, though. I really like her. She's great. There's a funny video of her singing and sometimes explaining the story of the song. No Good Deed. It's great.

mikka2005 Eden was the standby for Elphaba in the original Wicked cast. She eventually took over from Idina, then moved to the LA production, then the touring production of Wicked.

Kaki Clements Fredi Walker played Joanne and Idina played Maureen in the original RENT cast. Tracie Thoms played Joanne to Idina's Maureen in the RENT film. Eden and Tracie were in the closing cast for RENT, the last performance of which was professionally recorded for sale.
