TRACIE, I love you and your prodigious artistic talent. What a ton of super ideas for making backgrounds. One day soon, I'll be trying out some of the zillions of ingenious techniques you have so generously taught and demonstrated. You blow away the saying I have always disliked, "Those who can - do; those who can't - teach." Or whatever that dumb saying is. I was a training manager, so I've observed and critiqued many instructors from many different fields: technical, interpersonal communications, administrative, etc. Trust me, you are an exceptionally skilled instructor. I'm not an artist, but, as many say, I know what I like - and I love your art. Be safe and well, and the same for your friends, family, and cat. Alice in SC US.

Another brilliant video Traci! So I’m here in Florida with my art friend Danita. I bought a beautiful 1960’s satin wedding gown yesterday. I’m going to deconstruct it and we are going to try this technique with pieces of the satin and the veils. I’m wondering if we shouldn’t use inks instead. I’m worried the pigment in the paint will dull the sheen of the satin. But I really want to try it! Thanks for the inspiration. I’m loving this series of videos!

Very interesting. If I don’t have a gel plate could I use a plated glass. I think I’m going to try it. Another thing to add to my list of want to try. Lol never enough time but this looks rather fast as the colors and textures are the basis for the art work later.

Hi there, Tracie! I am so enjoying watching something I have never seen before......SUCH wonderful results so far! I was just wondering, would this technique work with regular stamps? I know they would have to be simple images rather than little fiddly text or design, but I thought that could add another texture to pieces that are already looking really great!!! What do you think? Hey, I just thought of another possibility. How about stencils?? Even just one of those that have the different size circles or ovals?? (to paint onto the jelli plate)
@TracieFoxCreative3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will work but then it is covered by copyright and the paper you use will determine how well it works. These are my backgrounds, I will be adding to an art journal so I dont want to fully decorate all the pages!. I have worked on these more since the video x x
