Great idea! Picked up a big roll cheap at Walmart and tried it on a pattern. Ended up with a couple of wrinkles, but it worked ok. Thanks for sharing.

Still prefer the Tandy tracing film only. Problem with the technique you show is it is not possible to see where the pattern is going perfectly on a piece that already has a border. When using the film I only use Sharpie ultra fine point markers. They don’t smear just remember to mark top on the pattern.

I think you can get a laminator and sheets at wal-mart pretty cheap. That would be way faster and cleaner.
