Rebecca, thanks for being patient! The masking of a PIP is the first thing I did with track mattes and then the track mattes were like a gift that kept on giving. There's a ton of functionality and richness in that feature. - Troy

Hi Esam, thanks for the kind words. I want to make sure I understand all of your comments. Can you tell me more about your reference to Powerpoint: "create awesome animations by Track Matte Mode especially that hint key that combine one till in powerpoint with the new feature in Camtasia"? How are you using PPT and Camtasia together? Also, any other videos that you'd like me make?

@@TroyStein Hi Troy, thank you for your interest in my comments, actually I see that Camtasia alone can provide a huge reference to create an enjoyable animations, but the PP user can find a most awesome tools to create a valuable shapes, transitions and animations to save each them as a templates to make a quick changes before recording into Camtasia project to say that Camtasia and PowerPoint can provide one unit as a reference revolution for different types of videos. My reply for your last request is I hope to publish videos covering an analysis for each of FREE Lower Thirds that available in Camtasia to provide an extended knowledge to learn more about 50% Camtasia especially those that not need to a professional animator. Hi, thanks for this. Do you know how to export a lower third created in Camtasia with a transparent background?
@techsmith3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you cannot currently export a video from Camtasia with a transparent background. A workaround for this would be to export it with a digital green/blue background and remove in whatever software you're transferring it to.

Hey Troy another question for you, the intro you used for your video is it a custom one or did it come from Camtasia Assets. Thanks.
@techsmith4 жыл бұрын
Looks like this is a custom intro that Troy made for his videos, though with all the customizable options on our intros, it's possible that it started from one. :)

I am making videos for an online course. In a set of videos I don't like the background. Is there anyway to change the background and keep the video of me talking?
@techsmith3 жыл бұрын
Only if it was recorded on a green screen. Or, if you want, you could put yourself into a smaller (circular or shaped) frame as well to cut down on background distraction.
@TroyStein3 жыл бұрын
@@techsmith there are some tools for removing a regular background from a video. After Effects can do it, but will take a bit of a learning curve. There are some other apps for removing backgrounds (google: remove background from video). But, I haven't used them, so I don't have a very informed opinion on them. - Troy

I know my problem is not what your video is about, but I am having trouble finding a solution. When I cut some video, I can't play back without getting flashing or black screen but do have audio. I have tried the one solution I found that had me go to edit, preferences, advanced, and software only. That has not resolved the issue. Can you direct me to some help? Please. Thanks.

hi TechSmith. Is it possible to use the track mattes function in interactive videos? I would like to create a video with a "hidden part" which appears only if you click on the provided button.
@techsmith3 жыл бұрын
That's not currently a function in Track Mattes, but a super cool idea for a future use case! If you don't mind, head over to feedback.techsmith.com to suggest it to our developers! (Sorry for the delayed response!)

Techsmith, please give us more green screen layers! Also we need to be able to read multiple tracks from one MP4. You have no idea how useful this would be. Specially with OBS. I can only read 1 single track. I have to rip it with another program. If everyone else can do it in their program, I think you guys can to. Also, MKV SUPPORT PLEASE
@techsmith2 жыл бұрын
These are all great ideas (most we're aware of) but rather than leave them here, let me recommend you head over to feedback.techsmith.com where our Devs read and respond to feature ideas (and often implement). Thak you for sticking with us in the meantime!
@Tarrabyte2 жыл бұрын
@@techsmith well I'm telling you here because every time we use those forums any of us that are on those feedback pages don't feel like you guys listen to us.
@techsmith2 жыл бұрын
@@Tarrabyte I understand that sentiment, I'm just sorry to hear you're feeling it from us. Our support team definitely hears and reads them. The problem is often the difference between ease of implementation and prioritization of work to get done. I myself (Andy) have talked to the devs about multiple green screen selections and MKV support, and they're definitely aware of it, have a desire to do it, but sometimes it's just a matter of bandwidth to accomplish required tasks. Keep pushing us to get better! We really are listening. Thank you!
@Tarrabyte2 жыл бұрын
@@techsmith well that makes me very happy that the devs are thinking about in looking into. Then I take it you've also talked to them about MP4 and doing like what DaVinci can do and read multiple tracks inside of one file?
@techsmith2 жыл бұрын
@@Tarrabyte I haven't yet, the other things were from previous (recent) conversations. I will bring that one up as well (though in all likelihood, I won't be the first person they'll have heard it from - their finger is usually right on the pulse of what people want, even if it hasn't made it to fruition yet). Thanks!
