The folk of Remuera would prefer your trains don’t squeal as they pass their neighbourhood, it’s making it impossible for them to hear the sweet rumble of their V8 luxury sedans and SUV’s

Actually we prefer the silence of our tesla's and the generous rebate it use to come with

Why are tracks imported? Why are they not made at Glenbrook?

Do the trains in AK travel as fast as the trains in Tokyo? I remember the Japanese trains moving very fast through the suburbs.

I have lived and traveled all around China for 8 years and have traveled to every province on their Fast-Trains, averaging 380 kmph,, but they never squeal. I have also traveled extensivly on their slow trains, ( 200 kmph ) and they dont squeal or screech either. And their trains are never canceled, break down or run late... Where have we gone wrong. ???

Why do the trains make a horrible brake squeal when they stop ?
@andrewcliffe475310 сағат бұрын
We have water sprays on the rails thru the city

Would have been much more useful if you defined what you mean by noise. There are many different rail noises in different situations and you would be best placed to demonstrate and explain that properly.
@TheAllEngineering4 күн бұрын
The sharpness of the bends at New Market leading out to the western line, and the bends coming into Britomart from Parnell are excessively sharp. This is poor design and places higher strain on the rails and wheels, and leads to excessive wear. Then there is the noise also. Another example of how we do things inadequately. When the CRL finally opens it will be let down by the rest of the system limiting the throughput because it is not up to the task even though this work has been carried out.

Why hi vis and hard hat in a public area? What is the safety issue here ?
@stillissac4 күн бұрын
I assume he was likely just working before, perhaps on break?

Pretty much standard kit in New Zealand. Hard hat helps distigish a person from road cones which now outnumber the population 😂
