Unfortunately my friend lost his manifest before the first checkpoint. This did not stop him from trying to finish with the top pack. along the way he followed Dominican Chris, James mccay and Johnny wide bars, capturing the raw footage from the race. I believe he might have missed a few checkpoints but non the less a true Traffic Warrior.

Still have it today, wonderful thing. Took it down to a platinum mine in south africa and up a mountain in kazhakstan. getting a little thin around the edges.... :)

It absolutely IS the best way to get around NYC. It's not just that; it's incredibly fun! You do have to be careful, and you have to be confident, but it can be done safely. NYC drivers are generally more careful and aware of cyclists than you'll find in any other American city.

car drivers; not exactly the greatest epitome of virtue are they. the only humans that give a flying fck what the selfish pig ignorant idiots (im being polite here) think are car drivers themselves. but the fact is nobody should be driving any more so in light of that car drivers lack any moral high ground at all. a cyclist could be mowing down several little children a day and car drivers would still be eventually kill millions for each one. but in actual fact the death toll of cyclists is a bit fat zero

True, these guys are disobeying the traffic laws, but car drivers do that shit every day too. So I get that this is for a competition, but honestly there’s no wonder why car drivers hate cyclists. It’s unfortunately this general behaviour by a lot of cyclist; running red lights, ignoring stop signs, going down the opposite side of the road into oncoming traffic etc; that gives the rest of the global cycling community such a bad reputation. The aggression towards cyclist by drivers can really be dangerous too.

Traffic Warriors after a few months I realize how much it taught me and how I use a lot of these techniques now when riding, particularly how to enter an intersection and use my peripheral vision to track a line. I get some of the same reactions that you get but it is truly the safest way to navigate a lot of different objects at once.
