I am a big fan of Mu. She has not been competing hardly at all this year. I hope her training is going well and she gets enough competition at the trials to sharpen her for Paris. She is an extordinary athlete. Hope she brings home another gold. She will have competition from Hodginson and Moira at least at the Olympics.

She gave an interview at USA trials and said she got injured but wouldn't specify the injury. She said she is in shape and where she needs to be. Keely and Moraa will definitely be her main challengers.

@@I_Evo. I agree. I remember what a Cluster Ftruck the Olympic Trials became in 2012 when Nike Inc.’s poster child Allyson Felix finished in a dead heat tie for 3rd place with Jeneba Tarmoh in the women’s 100m. Settle it on the track before the corporate sponsors and their lawyers get involved.

SI you go this one wrong. Pretty bad for her, and the USA team. Sage also could've gone close if not for the fall. The trials system of first 3 past the post has robbed the USA team of having one of the top 3 800 M runners in the world at the Olympics. Would've have been great to see Athing, Keely and Mary in Paris.

Athing Mu is a major player and she's immensely talented; however, Noah Lyles is the brightest star and I know SI is into pushing an agendas these days (69 year old Gayle King on a swimsuit cover was laughable) but at least give the brother some kudos. He's the fastest sprinter in the world at 100m and 200m which are the most prestigious events in Track and field and yet there's no mention of him and no SI covers this year leading up to the 2024 Olympics.. That's crazy.

How was it sabotage? She poorly judged a cut-in and actually cut off Raevyn. If Raevyn had fell she would’ve won an appeal. There’s a reason Mu didn’t win her appeal. Also people conveniently forget that Athing tripped Nia Akins in the last trials and no one screamed “redo” or “sabotage.” Love Mu and wish her the best for next cycle, but she did not show up in top form nor race ready. This backlash just because she won THREE YRS AGO needs to stop. The top three ladies deserve their bid.
