I love how this addition to the game is basically what was seen in old school Star Wars Bounty Hunter!! But in Starfield it works perfectly!!

I found a bounty and scanned him the game prompted me to confront the bounty but it didn't let me talk to him smh ik you can knock them down with the disruptor to bring them in but I wanted to talk to them for rp'ing

​@@chino436i think you encountered a bug, every bounty I've came across I've been able to interact with them, if you have mods installed try organising your load order, that might fix it

​@@chino436how I've sorted mine out is that framework mods go at the top, followed by cheat mods, and then weapon mods, then ship mods, and lighting mods at the bottom

Not just Neon, you can find them anywhere where there's civilisation, i even managed to find one at the Red Mile but that's no surprise

Are these free roam bounties broken/bugged for anyone else? I've done the introductory Tracker's Alliance quest to get the scanner ability, and it worked during that quest (I would hope so, lol), but every time I see a bounty when I'm in free roam, I'll scan it, the charges will pop up, but when I go to talk to/confront the person the game won't let me talk to them at all. I've tried it like 5 times, some in New Atlantis, and some in Akila City. Ironically I haven't seen any in Neon yet. You'd think they would be like every other person there, lmao.

That is weird and frustrating. So you scan the target, hit A or whatever to acknowledge the bounty, turn off the scanner, and then try to talk to them?

@@RichardBejtlich yup, exactly. Open the scanner, hit A to scan and bring up the charges, close the scanner, and try to press A again to talk to them, but nothing happens.

Seeing this as well. I haven't tried recently but in frustration I'd just take them out lol. The crowd runs in a panic - at a very fast speed (glitchy) - and nothing happens lol.

You know if you hold down the fire button on the disrupter for a few seconds to allow it to charge up you can one shot them.

I found 4 in New Atlantis at spaceport. I didn't know you could talk to or persuade them I just shoot when I see the red. Security don't seem to care when I do it.

Simple but effective, & another chance to use Starfield's excellent persuasion mini game! I've not encountered a single bounty npc since the trackers alliance update. Do you have to visit the new hq in akila to activate the additional functionality in scanner mode?

Yes, I think you need to complete the new in-game Tracker's Alliance quest.

@@RichardBejtlich getting there. Been looking everywhere for that "groundpounder" mission in my ng+3 universe & finally found it. After that i may hit trackers alliance. I know i could look the locations up but i love building that mental map of where things are system by system. Still yet to find that big ecliptic base i've heard about, but they can't hide forever!

It's a fun mechanic & I had two as soon as I left the trackers hq though I had four in a row once on Jemison, I am also finding random objects on the non persuasion option bounties such as a symbol piece a cue ball & other objects that I've never found on anyone who's walked into one of my bullets before & the persuasion failure bounties don't have any items like these on them, this might just be a random thing though it get's me wondering if there's not more to it.

Do any of the bounties follow you after you've resolved them? Got one chap following me now. Ran out of Gelbank where I originally resolved to pee my pants when I sprinted across the map to find a chap in red following me! (Had my scanner on)

The one time I tried extorting 500 credits off of my bounty you can still turn them in afterwards so I got 500 extra credit

None of my bounties are working. the characters will not talk. It's like the "A" button is there, but not responsive. They will only react to me shooting them. but they will not talk to me. Xbox Series S

At least guards come over and stand by them now once they have surrendered as didn’t before. Have even had bounties following me around once they have surrendered!! Think they could have at least changed some of the bounties as always same male and female character. Had some strange charges appear such as impersonating a robot and committing lewd acts with a Heatleech.😂 Should have let last one go as won’t be long before he decides to try it with an adult version which won’t go too well.

This don work for me. I can neighter talk to them ore get the bounty. I was on a tracker alliance misson where l had to take him alive, l stun him but it ends there. Cant get to end the mission.

I want them alive ... blah blah blah. I think mine bugged. I started a new toon who has not been to the Tracker's Hideout yet, so not a member. I was just scanned New Atlantis, getting all the locations on my quick travel map, and saw a guy in red. I tried to talk to him and there was no interaction at all, he just ignored me. So I saved and just shot him. He dropped dead, the civilians run around like crazy, the guards to nothing, and no crime reported. I get the bounty and loot the body. Walk off leaving a corpse laying on the sidewalk. That can't be right?

It's a bug. My game is bugged too.. The bounty won't talk. It's not a mission completion issue. I've previously had no problems with these found bounties.

All the bounties are women that went to enhance to change their features, lmao....... but seriously, these bounty quests are quite lame and most of the time you just have to look for that specific NPC face before even turning on scanner

I suspect these are AI voiced. One of these bounties voices bugged on one line of dialog once and it was quite clearly a flat AI voice.
