i live about 1, 1 & a half hours away from tampa... if that, i feel soooo much heavy wind & the rain keeps shifting from light to moderate consistantly. the water level here is atleast above ankle... well, in my backyard. I'm up waiting for irma like a wife waiting for her cheating husband to walk through the door at 2am. I'm sooo sleepy! keep up the good work guys... prayers out to everyones family even those beyond Irmas reach, goodnight! 🙏💭💞

hahaha, thanks! i was like?? ummm, maybe i should've payed more attention in spanish class! then again, when they found out i was not spanish at all... they switched my classes to another pe! lol hope everyone has remained safe & sound! my area [central florida] has some downed trees & power lines.. slight flooding lastnight, none this morning. somebody's house is completely crushed by a tree... 😥❗ somebody elses roof just ripped off. all in all, bad.. but not too bad.
@spicyfries42607 жыл бұрын
Marissa McClellan LOL HILARIOUS about switching you to another pe. UGH this hurricane has been chaotic and stressful. Glad that you are ok. I'm glad that it wasn't major like we've expected for Florida. I'm in South Carolina and we're just getting rain/ flash flood warning. I am truly so grateful that it didn't turn out to be so monstrous of a hurricane in Florida. My prayers go out to anyone that lost their lives and those that became homeless and do not have a safe place to stay, but all material things can be replaced. I can only imagine their hurt. Countries, islands and Florida all have my prayers!
@marissamcclellan89997 жыл бұрын
Luisa Bueno thank you, & yes.. verryyy stressful & chaotic indeed! that hurricane was monstrous! i had concerns about the homeless that couldn't evacuate... the animals.. the people who now because of irma are homeless. our costal & most southern part took it for the team... Cuba, Puerto Rico, Bahamas.. The keys.. & many more😥❗ im glad she weakened, don't want anyone feeling what they felt. even at a Cat 2 she was powerful!! the people down on the beaches that have reverse surged are what is ticking me off though... i mean, they better be lucky the storm surge didn't come in like a tsunami... i mean, after all of the deaths from these catastrophic events, isnt it enough? nooo, gotta go take a selfie! at a Cat 5 she could've annihilated florida! You be safe... god bless you & your family! i pray he covers everyone 🙏❗ wow man... third dude just keeps up with these,"yo.soy's," doesn't he?? lol

What is a shame in my opinion is that in 2017 we still have to deal with power outages from downed power lines. Think about it. You can have a multimillion dollar house. A car worth hundreds of thousands. Everything can be state of the art and you are surrounded by archaic power lines that haven't changed in many many years. I'm tired of something so vitally important being easily destroyed by gusts of wind.
@TJ-yk2ns7 жыл бұрын
flipfloplogic You obviously don't know how power lines work... however if they would put all the lines underground it would be way better for coastal cities.
@flipfloplogic7 жыл бұрын
All I know is they're damaged whenever a hurricane comes through wether its directly from wind or something is blown over onto the lines snapping them. Whatever the case hurricane = power loss. Seems to me something would have been done long before now to prevent or minimize damage to power lines. I've read years ago of power lines being buried in the ground but apparently its not a solution that is not in wide spread use.
@patrickmccrann9917 жыл бұрын
Power lines can be run underground but most places in FL the water table is too high. Also, they can be flooded out with storm surge and heavy rain...just ask Navarre Beach, Hurricane Opal in 1995.
@WonderingAimlessly7 жыл бұрын

Watched as two fellows fought over a bag of ice. One's wife had told him "Don't come home without it",....needed to keep baby's formula cold. Sad. Pray that everyone's treating their brothers like they'd want to be treated. Stay safe all my Conch friends, watch out for Jose.... it's not over yet......moved to Auburn, Alabama. People are saying how can God be a loving God and cause this to happen. But God being the holy God that he is could've put an end to this sinful nation in a snap of a finger, because of sin, sin is the result of all this anyways. But God instead is giving sinners time,warning,time....time,time.... for his will is not that any perish and goes to hell. 2 Peter3:9

Why does the governor feel the need to continue to praise the government about how they "handled" the situation. These people are getting paid to do their job. Period. Are they that insecure about their jobs that they need that much praise? Let the people be the ones to judge if the governmental agencies are doing their jobs and providing sufficient shelter that they paid for via their tax dollars. Praise the people who have to deal with the arrogance of these government agencies.
