@BK MONEYSTACKS That may be true, but if we keep on invading nature like this it can't sustain the balance. Take global warming for example, nature is no longer able to sustain it, as it once could, sure eventually after maybe hundreds of years later it may no longer be a threat, but who knows how far we as humans would have gone. Even if all of us act now the chain reaction was set in motion a long time ago and it will only stop after hundreds of years. So all we can do is do our part in ensuring that that balance that nature will one day bring us will come sooner than if we continue our actions so that the generations ahead of us will experience a better future. Edit: Correction, we have 10-12 years to stop global warming, let's hope the damn world leaders put nature first now.

It probably will be said later on but ... it's not a 'tree-crocodile', it's just a Monitor Lizard Sub Species Also, Monitor Lizards, including Komodos are NOT 'as close as you can get to a dinosaur', quite the opposite, Monitor Lizards is as far away as you can get from dinosaurs while still being a reptile. Monitor Lizards are highly developed, extremely adaptable, modern reptiles. Science has shown, that even show behavior and 'learn' to an extent, which was formerly only seen in mammals and very few birds. If you want to get as close as possible to a dinosaur, go for your average salt water crocodile but then you're several million years away, in evolutionary orders of magnitude, from Monitor Lizards ^^

@Oroberus2 жыл бұрын

I have a feeling it's the crocodile monitor. I know that so far it only has been found on New Guinea(except in this documentary) but they are the longest monitors in the world, even what the locals told makes sense because many reach that length in captivity, mostly 12 feet, but on average it's just 8 feet. But it isn't out of the blue possibility that somehow they made their way over to Indonesia, perhaps they were native to there but just more secretive than their New Guinea relatives or perhaps they came to those islands from sea currents and storms on some natural boats like tree trunks and leaves as the lemurs and tenrecs did. Who knows really.

Like a Zebra is somehow not a Horse but a Seahorse is? And don't get me started on *Jellyfish!* So I do have to feel sorry for any Toddler audience watching this. Sure when we say Komodo Dragon, we all somehow seem to know what we're talking about. But that's because they're Extremely Popular so we all can make the Distinction between them and other Monitors, but the *"Tree Crocodile?"* Some might end up thinking of *"Caiman Crocs"* cause of how Small and Agile they are as Crocodiles!!! Anyways Wikipedia and everyone on Google seem to prefer calling them *"Crocodile Monitors"* instead, so I Pray if they study these Lizards again that they get their name Right next time!

Spent most of his time looking at everything, but big lizards. That guy sold him a tale about capturing one that happened to die and he threw it in the river. If true, why didn’t they ask to see where he discarded the corpse, it might still have been there considering it had only been a week.
@brianbatie66504 жыл бұрын
Doubtful. I have been there, in the river there are very large cichlids that eat meat, and crayfish the size of your outstretched fingers, from thumb to pinky. Water monitors will scavenge anything, and will eat even the bones. Pythons can swim, and finding a free meal, they will swallow it whole. I seriously doubt if anything that is dead in the river there would have a week to decompose. Sometimes, a wild pig is sacrificed for a wedding ceremony, the flesh cut up and shared among the attendees. The bones and certain entrails are left at the pit, the discarded parts will disappear by the next day. The rainforest fauna doesn't sit still for very long, even the dead.
