reminds me a lot of good old days in GTA SA Online, before gta online took over the community, there were several tracks that covered the entire map and beyond in a trackmania fashion and there were those "base jump" servers wich let you free fall and sky dive throught a very freaking long tunnel with all sorts of obstacles: tree,s buildings, mountains, bridges, and tiny gaps that you could barely make it... i allways wondered why nobody just merged both experiences in the same one, its a tremendous relief that somebody took that idea, and boy i love it

I got this game for my son and we were very impressed at how fun it was. The sense of speed is amazing and we really enjoyed the fact that you don’t have to stay on the track to keep driving. He was driving through the desert and climbing mountains. We even drove our cars under water. Most racing games automatically reset the car when it goes off the track but this one lets you drive for as long as you want and the car can be reset by the player.

Forza is like Battlefield, when Trackmania is like Quake. I always loved unrealistic games with exaggerated features pumped out to the next level of insanity. If I crave for some realism in my life, than I just simply don't play games. (Of course Battlefield is not a fckin simulator or smth, but I hope you get my point xd)
@senjusan63597 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you on both sides. Trackmania is great because of its simple, but just fckin good mechanics. Games as Forza and other triple A games are just simply much much more beautiful. But, that beauty have price, which is fear of those companies to try new things, because its very risky to make something fresh, because of milions of dollars that were spent in production. Thats why Triple A games likes to stick with old good mechanics, focusing almost all their creativity into thinking of next new way of amaze us with nothing but superficiality. And looking by number of saled copies of those copies of copies, tell everything. People truly doesn't care anymore about what is most important, gameplay. We rather would see same old shit, but with new sheet :)
@benjaminajdarpasic75767 жыл бұрын
Guys the thing why trackmania might be the best racing game even in my perspective is pretty simple and clear, u cant tune up ur car for special situations and u dont have the option to pick a 900hp vs a 700hp awd rwd drive, every player has the same car with the same level, the only thing which will make u the first is 0% of the car performance and accuracy, its 100% of the players skilllevel. Or in short terms: Easy to learn, hard to master.

I really like that the augmented space for the tracks makes the stadium environment to just disappear. It looks really damn cool just driving a crazy track in the middle of fkin nowhere, with just kilometres of nature and scenery. I don't understand the track mania community , As a person who loves motorsports and have over 5000 hours of race experience . None of this is " impressive. Its akin to watching a car so a high speed salom with very little turning . High speed twitch tracks that require basic knowledge of apex theory are considred " God tier " . It looks bad ass but .. a few hours of practice and you nailed it.. You can't nail a complex track in hours , maybe days , hell a simple hairpin will take a seasoned driver a couple hours to master. Remove all the junk around the tracks and it's basically a corridor with obstacles
