Trackmaster 2013 Duck's close shave Unboxing Review and First Run!

Hey Guys and Gals here we have the 3rd releases of the most current batch of Trackmaster releases from late 2013 its Duck's close shave! I got this on ebay along with Porter and Muddy Ferdinand so lets see if the cheaping out by Trackmaster continues!
As soon as I had the locomotive in my hand I could see and feel the lack of quality in the construction and of the plastics used to make the chassis, it looks and feels like recycled trashcan plastic which is a shame. It really does not look like it was built to last more than a few years at most and the molded in traction tires also point this fact out. even the molding of the underframe and inside the shell is very rough and their cost cutting in this area is a disgrace, also I noticed the safety valve cover which is painted in all previous versions is unpainted this time and the short covered truck with opening doors is the cheapest nastiest thing I have ever seen ( no the cheapest nastiest thing I ever saw was muddy Ferdinands truck), it does run very well though which we will cover now.
When fitted with a C size battery the motor hummed to life with an almost silent buzzing sound, it is a very smooth runner this one which is very surprising after Duck's powerline repair which I reviewed previously was such a terrible runner (constant clicking and surging), So this version is very smooth running but not fast by any means, it also performed very well in the hill climb and on the turntable.
So overall despite the horrible build quality this is a good runner that looks decent until you flip it over, the stickers are well placed and silver handrail is a nice detail, the shaving cream could have been done so much better and I have no idea why this new version even exists when there was an excellent earlier release of this same loco. Its just a money grab basically as they like to release in groups of 3 engines now. So look out for the next money grab from Fisher Price Trackmaster.
I give this Train a score of 6/10 Nice running cannot save this products terrible material and build quality, just sloppy lazy and cheap seem to be the keywords at Trackmaster these days.

Ucwepn I still watch it to this day whilst still in lockdown and I feel that this was a perfect Trackmaster duck that they had made and the Vin short cover truck if you’d like to call it I have collected lots of those and made so many customers he won’t even believe how many I’ve made so far lots of troublesome trucks and I would like you to see them all on my Instagram as soon as I can take pictures of them I’ve made so many that they have to wait their turn which isn’t nice for them really because they were just grumble including scruffy! I’ll give that video is 10 out of 10

Yanno, you could make a load with all those sticks you get!! That, or build something with them!! Hahah!! He does seem kinda cheap though!! But a good runner!! Definitely nice to see both GWR engines runnin together too, nice little touch!!!! I'd love to see you showcase all your Passenger trains together though, I think they'd make a nice sight!! And use of the "old" yard tracks too!! Wonderful video as always!!

In regards to the comment you made at 4:29, my TOMY Murdoch and Arthur are just two of some of the oldest engines in my fleet; since you've seen my model showcase video, despite some love on both engines, both work as if they are brand new and out of the box to this very day. Your custom Oliver looks amazing! I hope to purchase another Oliver to make him look like his television series model counterpart. A brilliant video. Which version of this "Greatest Moments" pack do you prefer -- HiT Toys, or Fisher-Price?

I honestly prefer the HiT Toys version because as ToyTrains4u said, I prefer any version where the toymakers have gone to the trouble of molding the details on rather than just placing stickers that will deteriorate.

I just got Tomy Motor Road and Rail Murdoch, Arthur, Lady, Track, a Coal and water station, thomas and the jet engine, Hit toys Harvey, Flip Face thomas with forward and backwards controler, Tidmith Sheds, Small Tomy thomas and friends toys, and hit track. Roling stock includes Hit Small black coach; brakevan, hit milk tanker with MILK words on it in blue, 5 tomy troublesome trucks, and other stuff I cant think of for only $100.00 in USA!!!!
