Another great review, Joe. As you know I'm a Tract lover. Jon and Jon keep hitting sweet spots in their line without cannibalizing the other scopes they sell. These have both SFP and FFP with 2.5-15x magnification in MRAD or MOA. The SFP has illumination but the FFP does not. My 4-20x is FFP with illumination but costs $300 more. Their 1" hunting line costs $200 less but only SFP. These weigh about 27oz versus 32oz for the 30mm scopes. All scopes use the Schott glass which sets them apart from many other makers, but in a price range that is (much) lower than the European scopes while retaining most of the functionality of those higher priced scopes.

To tell you the truth I wish they put the illumination on the FFP even if they had to charge accordingly because that's absolutely the perfect magnification range for hunting. Unless maybe you can actually see the reticle at low magnification but even if you can I really doubt you could see it in low light. I don't think you showed the reticle through its magnification range at all or said main tube and objective lense size but I might be wrong so I'm going to watch it again... Still some cool optics and great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

That was my thought too I wanted to see that sucker on 2.5x. But I suspect the outer crosshairs are what you’re looking at and they’re totally fine. That’s how mine is, it’s a non-illum ffp burris veracity 3-15. From 5-8 it’s basically useless. You van make sense of the reticle okay at 10 on a bipod. but go to 3 and the outer section is your reticle and it’s great for offhand. But like you say I got that scope for 500, not 1200.

@@CyclopsJoeVideos not that those corporate clowns need the help but it could be a fun video if you stay sub 400. From the ones I’ve handled they’re just ten year old vortex jobs which could be a good thing. Very very much like the diamondback tacticals but with more options including sfp. Given how deep the sale discounts are I’d love to see your test on one. If they’re any good it’s a thing any guy could get his hands on and have fun with. Because people are being told in the shiny magazines that you need a heavy bull barreled chassis rifle with a big scope shooting a PRS cartridge for hunting, and the ammo being pushed is catered to the casual long range target shooter. It's a product of the times. Maybe there'll be a resurgence of lightweight rifles after the current fad of heavy rifles like we had the peak of super mags with belts before we dipped back down to the intermediate match cartridges more recently.
